What Karl Rove Should Tell La Raza

White House adviser Karl Rove is scheduled to speak tomorrow at the annual conference of the federally funded, left-wing, open-borders-advocacy group, the National Council of La Raza.
If he does not want his speech to look like an act of appeasement, he should confront La Raza on its opposition to commonsense policies designed to secure both U.S. borders and U.S. pocketbooks.
La Raza, which means The Race in Spanish, has denounced as horrendous and appalling the House immigration bill passed in December, which was sponsored by Judiciary Chairman James Sensenbrenner (R.-Wis.) and supported by the overwhelming majority of House Republicans. The bill, which calls for tough worksite enforcement of immigration laws and 700 miles of border fencing, was condemned by La Raza as a laundry list of mean-spirited and intrusive provisions concocted by the most radical immigrations restrictionists in Congress.
Will Rove defend the immigration reforms passed by President Bushs party in the House and tell La Raza that House Republicans are neither mean-spirited nor radical? He should. House Republicans deserve Roves support.

If Pence's "guest worker" plan actually worked, and the guests voluntarily go home after six years, it would mean instituting a system that is immoral and un-American. Inviting foreigners to come to America to do jobs that Americans think they are too good to do creates a subordinate underclass of unassimilated foreign workers, like the serf or peasant classes that exist in corrupt foreign countries such as Mexico. What?
Guest worker programs are immoral?
We have guest worker programs today. Nobody is twisting their arm. They choose to come here.

Welcome to the real world of electoral politics binky. So you are OK with government gaining, liberty yielding, and we the sheeple losing our country?
Why doesn't the Republican party just promise everyone a house with free cable, cheap gas and no ATM fees, with the richest 1% paying the bill for the Amexican Dream?

I'm splitting time installing software on my laptop.
BTW, in keeping with the theme of this thread, I think Karl rove speaking in front of the National Council of La Racistas is no different than if he spoke in front of the KKK---they believe in the same things.

So you are OK with government gaining, liberty yielding, and we the sheeple losing our country? NO I am saying that politics IS pandering. Hells bells the GOP has been "pandering" to the religious right for decades on Everything from abortion to Gay Marriage. It is called trying to gain enough support from as many areas as possible to gain a governing majority and as much as you guys hate it we need at least one minority group that isn't one hundred percent in the democrats pockets. Most Hispanic citizens don't like illegal immigration but the rhetoric against it has become so red hot by the likes of Tancredo and King that just like any human being they may start taking it personally. I wouldn't blame them if they did but it would be a disaster.

Bush gets an F+, D- on domestic spending, and illegal immigration. You should mark those two items on a curve. The entire class of recent President's haven't really done any better.

Thanks for the Link, Calcowgirl. A few months back I remember reading a similar post. It might have been yours.
Great job of exposing La Raza and the rip off of the American Tax Payer.

"" Note the acronyms indicating no paper trail or accountability for who requested the funding:
- NBR: no budget request
- C: items added in conference ""
No accountability. How can they do this and get away with it? I'm really scared for the future of our great country. ;( :(

You wouldn't know a troll if you tripped over one. I am a Republican Conservative who believes in the letter of the law, anfd that means the Republican party does NOT encourage illegal immigration, catch & release scams, and telling illegals they are welcome because they are "willing to do jobs Americans are unwilling to do" so they swarm over her in droves! Americans are STILL doing those very jobs, over 80% of them, the illegals have taken the other 20% and their percentage is climbing every day under Bush's promise of amnesty. Now, is anything not clear to you, brain surgeon?

When they are pushing the stolen shopping carts from out in front of their driveways and they have to keep their houses closed up to keep out the mariachi music at all hours of the day and night, then it may start to dawn on them the damage that is being done.So it isn't so much about the Constitution and the rule of law, huh?
