Good afternoon all...greetings from the Pacific Northwest, and another grey, wet day....
BigDom is getting all excited, as next weekend, he leaves for Florida, and a two week vacation down there, one week spent with his aunt and uncle, and the second week with friends....so he is going out shopping today, buying some new clothes and other things he will need for his trip....
He will buy his new bathing suit, and resort wear, while down in Florida...he intends to look snappy...
I, however, remain home, chosing, as always, not to go with Bigdom on his spring vacation...somehow two weeks without him , is a nice vacation for me....and of course, he always leaves me with a large bankroll, to dolly shop or whatever...he always feels guilty that he spends so much money on his spring vacations, so he alleviates that guilt, by plying me with money...Ply on, I say....
As I suppose with the rest of the DDs, have the TV constantly on, watching for news of the war, and how things are going, and praying for our brave military, to be safe, praying for the Iraqi people, that soon they may be freed from terror, and praying for our President Bush that he remain strong and confident in his decisions....

Loddy, wonderful pic of the lamp from 'A Christmas Story', my absolute favorite Christmas movie, and a movie, which is actually wonderful year round...
What did Ralphie call it, 'Electric Sex'? I chuckle recalling the sight of Ralphie, smoothing his hand over the leg, and his face all agoggle...and his moms look of horror as Ralphie is introducing himself to 'sex'...ah, the innocence of that time....
Or the frustration in the old mans face, when he asks the wife for some glue to fix the broken leg, and she answers that they are out of glue...The old man sputters, and all he can do, is accuse her of having used the glue on purpose...it was priceless...

Good luck on your, err, vacation.
Have a good time, and don't do anything I'd do.
On second thought....

My, err, vacation, without the hubby is always wonderful...he always tries to coax me to come along on his spring jaunts, but I never, ever do...he knows durned well, I enjoy being away from him for two weeks, and that I love being on my own, spending money, not having to cook his dinners, not having to get him going for work, in other words, not having to deal with him at all...
Having been married for soooo long, I do enjoy my vacations on my own, as a 'single' woman, if only for two weeks...tis fun...
To: andysandmikesmom
Like I said, enjoy it, and don't do anything I'd do...
Unless, of course, that would make for a seriously boring time.
Do have fun, and stories, we need story fodder.

I am shocked and awed at the antics of the useful idiots, and their ability to mobilize en masse in order to protest this war.
They were virtually non-existent this early into the first Gulf War, their organizational skills seem to have greatly improved since then.

That's beautiful, Gran. Good morning.

Good morning, Kathleen.. Just sitting down and taking a little rest..
I *hate* hanging shower curtains. Even with a stool I'm reaching too high.. ;)
Oh my neck and arms.. lol
I'd love to get my hands on those freaks with that sign in Westy's post.. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..

Good Sunday morning everyone -
When BigDom gets all excited, the chairs tremble...
Seriously now - for many of us a "vacation" from each other is a good thing, and not to be disparaged: what is up with couples that go to the grocery store together? I've noticed that they are either really young, which I understand; or really old, which I do not understand.
Cheers all.

LOL I bought a new shower curtain during the week and changed it this weekend, it must be the season. ;)
I am not suffering leftists and other fools gladly these days.

It sounds like the 101st bomber was one of us who "converted" to the mooselimb "faith."

( We may have to kill them all.)
An American soldier is in custody," Maj. Trey Cate, a spokesman for the division.
Major Cate did not identify the detained soldier or suggest a motive, but military sources described him as a sergeant attached to an engineering unit, an American citizen, and a Muslim convert. He was found in a scud bunker when senior officers took a head count after the attack.

I hate the peaceniks with a passion.
Obviously, considering I used to wear the uniform of a soldier.
However, in thinking warm thoughts about my former captain, I can't argue with the sign.
My former captain told me I was lying about my step-daughter's death.
So I'd be likely to support shooting that particular officer..
