I didn't refuse the card, it was a riot. ;-)
We had about 5", less than they expected. The forecasters love to terrorize us in this area. :-0)
Hopefully this is the end of the snow, I'm SO ready for spring now.

Yer killin' me. They're predicting a "rain or snow shower" this weekend, hopefully temps will remain high enough for rain rather than snow.
They're also gleefully going on about the Farmer's Almanac prediction for two more snowstorms here in March. They can bite me and have a nice day. ;-)

So that's what AC and Gran have been studying...I suspected as much.
Now get back to coding - your company needs more good lines.
I'm glad that JohnRob finally located the faulty network switch and got us back up to speed.

Amen. Speed is good. Have yourself a dandy weekend.
I'm signed up for vacation March 12 through 24, and don't know where I will go.
Cheers.

*Preview of what's coming after the current story*
*2000 years after the current story*
Arselen flitted through the halls, sending lights in a tizzy. Technology still hadn't been tweaked to accept that there were ghosts wandering around. And as such moronic machines that they were, they flickered and blinked the lights whenever a 'ghost' went by, drastically shortening the lifespan of the lights.
Arselen giggled as her one millionth light exploded behind her. A maintenence worker cursed his fate down the hall to her right as the sound reached him. She'd spent hundreds of years tormenting some of them, all because one of their ancestors made a rude comment to her. He now sat by the fire and muttered into a cup about fate, then laughed at her antics.
It was all fun and games now...
But not when she'd dangled him headfirst off the balcony.
She hurried her pace, and once again forgot that she didn't need to use doors. She'd made herself late for the regular meeting.
"You're late again, who did you torment this time?" Abilene's voice drifted from a corner, humor in her voice.
"I made the lights in the new museum wing burn out, frightened a maid into jumping into the fountain, and burst that horrid tangle of weeds into flame again." Arselen had always hated the 'garden' that someone had dared to replace her orchards with. But, at the moment, she had that evil twinkle in her eyes that said she had mischief on her mind.
"OH, THAT was the shrieking I heard in the north quarter. I wish Karsh were here to restrain you. Any clue where he's wandered off to?" Abilene was rather anxious about that.
One did not need a rather powerful and moody ghost wandering around unchecked, and unwatched.
No-one knew what Karsh might do, and since he was permitted to wander beyond the boundaries of the land, it might be anything.
"I still can't perceive where he is. I too wish he were here." Arselen would rue this statement soon.
Outside, the streets were bustling, the city had gronw in the last millenium since he'd left for Otegia. He wandered down the sidewalk observing the people, the buildings, the technology. He walked through someone and heard them gasp as if struck by icewater.
"You bloody fool! You could have killed me!" the old man shrieked.
"Me? Whatever do you mean?" Karsh made a sweeping bow before turning back on his course. He was headed towards the citadel, where once he had been King.
Someone raced past carrying something that wasn't theirs. Karsh shot his ghostly hand out and grabbed it. The thief came to the limit of his arm and hit the ground, staring at his hand in dis-belief. Karsh made hismelf visible to the thief.
"This wouldn't happen to belong to someone else, now, would it?" Karsh lifted the thief, bag and all, off the ground with one hand.
"I think I'd better get going." he let go of the parcel and ran straight to a lawman, screaming.
He'd never seen a ghost before.
Karsh dusted the parcel off and handed it to a woman who shuffled by in a quest to dent the thief's head in with her handbag.
"I believe this is yours." he never did understand why some people screamed when he showed up.
It wasn't like he was frightening in appearence.
"What? Who? Where? Something's hurt? Something's crying? Something's Scary? Umm.. two words.. first sounds like.. Go.. go run.. go bathroom. go out.. go... post? Go pee? Ghost? That's it? Oh, sorry to beother you like that ma'am. I must be going. Important meeting and all. See you later.. uh, wait, no." Karsh left the highly pale and now bewildered woman alone with her parcel.

You are in the enviable position of being free to vacation at will. Watch the water, soak in the pool, cruise the canal, enjoy.
My brother and I resolved when I left home in 1973 that we would have a vacation a year together. In 30 years we have been true every year, and he last brought all his journals where he wrote a page a day, and we have had 270 days out since then.
We never really have a plan, just figure something out while we're driving the first day.
Cheers.

I have to chase down some things.
They're running around here, and of them escaped the rack.
I'll be back in a bit.
Unless they get me first.

Well, getting stoned isn't one of my hobbies.
But getting others out of their minds is.
Just look at that horrid little drink called a brain eraser that I came up with.
By the way, anyone want to test sip one?
