Hi Loddy,
If you were wondering about me I'm alive and well, working like a fiend on our products these days.
Actually I have a confession to make, I've turned into a Kona coffee junkie in front of a Coffe house cable TV set.
I've been so hooked on news, war news, live action shots from the battle field reported by imbeds, that my time posting things has suffered.
On the first day of the war when they breeched the berms, I was listening to them talk as they drove, and they said they were going north at sunrise. I reasoned that the shadows of driving north at sunrise would be on the left side of the vehicles ahead of them, that they were photographing. Instead, they were on the right side. (I sort of wanted Fox News to explain that in the eastern hemisphere, where you are on the other side of the world, when the sun comes up, it casts shadows on the right side instead of how it works over here in the western hemisphere.) Anyway, we figured out that after punching through they had turned south-east until they got to a main highway, then they turned, and the shadows matched their description of the movements. Since then, I've been craving war coverage.
Have I bent your ear enough?

Great report, and glad to hear that you and Dizzy are holding down the fort and doing whatever you wish. Your shopping list reminded me that I needed to acquire some shrimp for tomorrow's over-nighter with friends who have bailed out of the city for country living.
They have a lovely home on a few cross fenced acres where they are raising longhorn cattle. We will eat and drink too much and return here sometime Sunday...with luck, as Westy would say.
Cheers all. Off to Mr.Grill.

Great to see ya again and good to know that business is booming for your company.
I've had to take a break from the 24/7 war stuff - it was making me wicky-wacky in the head.
Don't be a stranger here. We need our Utah input.
Cheers right back.

The only thing that steams me more than war and all the nefarious shades of opposition to is is something that is happening here in Salt Lake City and is threatening to become a very big deal.
Sorry I get so steamed, but, twice a year the LDS church holds a general conference and for 150 years these have been peaceful, massive assemblies where the faithful of the church get together and sing songs, pray, and listen to numerous speakers. This year the word has gotten out and protestors - the kind that scream profanities, vulgarities and obscenities at the top of their lungs - are going to be in force outside the conference center, and the city and the ultimately liberal mayor aren't going to do a thing about it, in fact, they are going to protect the protestors' right of 'free speech'.
The LDS Church had a 12' protective stone wall around their temple, but due to some wrangeling with the city (where the city sold them property but reniged on the promise to let them have jurisdiction over it) they removed the wall and then discovered that protestors could now disrupt their temple ceremonies. The venemous speech is now audible inside the structure, and the church security people have no authority to remove the protestors. This is thanks to an agressive ACLU of which the mayor is a participating lawyer.
The 3 local news channels are now interviewing these groups coming down from Montana and elsewhere who are planning to disrupt the Saturday and Sunday sessions, 2 each day, and the mayor is so painfully two-faced about the whole thing. People have come out for wedding pictures - bride and groom - and had these protestors insert themselves into the scene front and center. People have been arrested for physically interfering with these protestors on these occasions. People attending the temple have been threatened when coming and going, and during the silent times of the ceremony -- of which there are a few -- the protestors' vocalizations have come through.
It defies words.

You're right - that situation does defy words.
I've never understood the protestor mentality, or what they get out of their near riotous actions. My heart is warmed when they cross over the line and have to go fetal under the brisk billy clubbing of the cops.
We have the right to PEACEFUL assembly - not the crap that these punchbowl turds bring to our streets.
Have a great day guys.
