The weather pic I posted was taken this month in Ha'ena, Kauai, Hawaii.

Amazingly similar cloud formations.

It's rainy and crappy here, with the possibility of a freeze tonight and tomorrow - we don't deal very well with cold temps down here. The real winners are the body shops and the plumbers.

Opening windows and doors? What's that? ;-)

Don't feel bad, Gran. As long as you keep posting pics of summer, I can dream. ;-)

Here, too...traffic becomes a demolition derby at the slightest trace of snow. ;-(

Good grief. That is so wrong.

QUOTES & TOASTS of the DAY -

"Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach that person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks."

"Some people are like Slinkies . . . not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs."

"I read recipes the same way I read science fiction." I get to the end and I think, "Well, that's not going to happen."

Thanks, but I'll pass. My teeth are chattering just looking at that pic..lol.

I nearly froze at the top of Mt. Washington during the summer once upon a time, winter would be out of the question. ;-)

Palapa

Usually you have to have the Indians come up from Imokalee to redo the thatch.. but Al is covering it with plywood and cedar shingles to last longer.. (hope I like it);)

You are having too much fun this morning Grannie.

Here is a funky little picture that will keep updating once a minute if you refresh, it is from the maui windcam between Paia and Kahului, looking northwest.

I've even seen canoes with people going past, and you frequently catch large yachts going to the harbor at Kahului Airport.

cheers.
