I'm the youngster of the group at 52, He is about 55 and the Sr. programmer is 69. I helped hire them in '89 when we had openings, then carried them into our new company when we formed in '94. 9 years ago. Now the Senior programmer simply wants to retire, Terry with the pancreatic cancer has to bow out, leaving me in the group. Our company has 3 products, and our group has about a thousand copies of our product in use. It's a nice situation, but frail for supporting all our customers.

Some days I just browse for hours, can't really get my mind on all the projects to do, and my list of things that need to be done would take years to accomplish.

But I've cried on your shoulder enough. Tomorrow I have more customers coming in for a visit to see what we can do.

Cheers.

p.s. My daughter's in a computer science bachelor's program (at UVSC in Utah) and one of her professors has told her that if she can solve a particular theoretical problem, she gets an A for the class (where no practical solution has been published) and while sitting at the coffee shop the answer sort of *popped* into my mind, so instead of working, I've been doing her homework...

Finally - an intertnet connection of my own.

I hope your man got more than one opinion on his cancer - my bil is still making history after his surgery, etc.

Please let me know if you want the name of the doc in Ohio - he's a real leader in this horrible field.

Regards all. JL

The 'Horoscope' thing is an actual song by Wierd Al Yankovic...
My section of the song ends with the fiance shoving a javelin through the guiys chest....

Still think you'd have a laugh with Scientist Hunt.
"I predicted all of this you know! ALLL of it!"
*Bam, hammer slam.*

Sorry about being late a day. Had to fight the 'puter again.
Windows is SOOOoo fun to re-install.

The restraints, I already have.
Bubble bath is best used as atorture device when used to tickle the nose of someone who is completely unable to move away from it.
And the tanlineless tan isn't gonna come out... Darn.

Don't worry about it.
It was kinda funny, in a sick and twisted way.
Besides, my cloven hooves were comfy.
