I never would have thought of smoked salmon in a chili, but you are Texan, so anything goes ;-)
A classic recipe is of salmon of a bed of lentils(cooked in broth and seasoned).

It is 5:43 in Utah and your test from pbase seems to be holding up fine. Sure is a pretty Christmas window.
We went to see the festival of trees in SLC this past weekend, where several thousand exquisite trees are put up for auction to support a local children's hospital. It could be one of them through your window.
My Mac come today.
Cheers.

Cute Santas.

To: grannie9; All
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here...I love it. :-) My DSL is back finally. Woooo hooooo...;-)
To: Kathleen
Oh.. I was just going to post to you.. See if you were ok. Good news. I sent you mail this morning, (early) to see if you were still up. ;)
To: grannie9
Are you series...the chickens weren't even up when you wrote that. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. ;-) No one should be awake at that hour..lol.
To: Kathleen
You're right, no one should be. I felt very lonely. Soooo...I read some news, wrote to you, and posted to Westy.. Then I went back to bed for an hour or so.
Darn, did it rain last night. When you have all the sliders open, it really can keep you awake. Then I heard very large things jumping in the canal. All in all, it's going to be a looooong day.. ;)
To: grannie9
Look on the bright side...they're forecasting the possibility of freezing rain here tomorrow morning. :-0)
Very large things jumping in the canal? (insert Twilight Zone music here)What do you suppose that was all about?
