heheh - wishing you all a great day on the canal!

I got up at 3:30 this morning, and went to the nursing home and sat with my fil for an hour. He's still hanging in there despite no food or water for three days now - just oxygen and morphine. Like Mom has told us from her days in nursing care, it can be a very powerful experience to sit and just talk about all the good times and things gone on in the past - who knows if any of it registers with our loved ones - but it surely did make me feel better to sit there and recite the 23rd Psalm and what other little scripture I could remember and talk about the future and what we believe it holds for us.

Let us all count our blessings this, and every day. ;-)

A-Huh! I posted that pic for you.. I'm finally getting the feeling that you like the purple family of flowers.. smooochies..

The closest we got to fish yesterday, was the Shrimp we stuffed in our mouths.. We did go out boating for a couple hours tho, with our friends and two lady friends next door. I had to take Berta and give her a break from cooking, as she gave me such a lovely bouquet of flowers that morning.. It was very nice on the canals, but too windy on the river..so we stayed close.

We had a very nice day, but I'm taking it easy this day, after I get thru changing the bed..and a little laundry, and..... Ho done.... sooooon.....!!

After major networking trouble, I am back.

For how long remains to be tested. *grin*
Well.. I'll see, I guess.

Dark honey, I thought you either fell in a hole or had puter problems.. I was betting on the hole. ;)

What happened?

DSL finally became available here.
Well, since I am networked through a bigger machine, the system needed a second NIC card to be able to do the DSL and share the connection. (DSL hooks into an rj-45 plug. NIC cards use rj-45's. So a second card was needed to share the connection.)

Wellll.. motherboard on the big machine got fried, took out the pci slots from 3-6. So only slots one and two worked afterwards. So.. not network.
Big machine had it's guts ripped out and replaced. And finally, today, it's back together. Somewaht. There's still bugs and other gremlins to shake out of the system. But, the spooks and griblets will be gone soon enough.

Wish it was a hole, though. Would have been more fun.

LOL LOL LOL.. I'm sure a hole would have been more fun. I hope others realize we are talking about holes in the ground where copper used to be.. ;) Ahem...

Wellll.. I asked, and you answered.. Don't ever let me ask you a question again.. OK???

It's bad enough reading your 'normal' posts and stories...

Sorry.
Normal day here. Cold, Flurries. But no little elves and nary a jolly fat man with venison to pot-shot in sight.

Hey, ya have fun reading my wackiness. Takes the edge off of a dull day.
Ask all the questions you want.
(Mental image of 'riddles in the dark' from the Hobbit.....)
"Shows the way.. out! Gollum!"
No.. no rings here today.
*Wink. nudge. Chuckle.*
