Gran is the most unsuitable chaperone

It is my solemn belief that a chaperone should be a leader, a teacher, an educator, a respected and honorable pig person. You must admit, Gran is all of that. And I feel that she could teach me a whole bunch ..... WhooHoo!!!

Yes, war is hell, but it's not for older people. It really is a 'young kids game', unfortunately. I'm only 26, but the four years of Advance Party made mincemeat of my knees. I started having trouble keeping up with the 'young dogs' while out on the prowl, so to speak. While on AP, you're supposed to do only two years at most then get put out to pasture in another position on the howitzer. Didn't happen in my case. I was the best there was at it, and that was the problem.

So when the wear & tear caught up with me, I was screwed. I hand picked my replacement as well, no need to send someone in there that will do a half-a@@ job. Might as well be someone who knows the job as well as I did. (I was supposed to get my Seargent stripes.... Oh well.) I'm now a civilian, again, and hate it. (Long story behind that.)

So we have to leave it up to the kids who can put such stupid strain on themselves. Kinda makes a former soldier like me feel kinda useless to do so, but it has to be. Though I personally would prefer to grab a bunch of the older soldiers that still have the fire in the eyes and go show the enemy the true meaning of "Sacrifice" and "Pain". I'm running long here.. -laters -Darksheare

You have a great knack for finding gifs and pictures!

I import those delicacies from Canada who imports them from China. You have to work at it - LOL. They're very good, once you get past the visual; they rehydrate fast, swell up in a short time, and saute with sizzle.

Thanks for the picture - they look better growing than hydrated.
