So when the wear & tear caught up with me, I was screwed. I hand picked my replacement as well, no need to send someone in there that will do a half-a@@ job. Might as well be someone who knows the job as well as I did. (I was supposed to get my Seargent stripes.... Oh well.) I'm now a civilian, again, and hate it. (Long story behind that.)
So we have to leave it up to the kids who can put such stupid strain on themselves. Kinda makes a former soldier like me feel kinda useless to do so, but it has to be. Though I personally would prefer to grab a bunch of the older soldiers that still have the fire in the eyes and go show the enemy the true meaning of "Sacrifice" and "Pain".
