hi andysmom
yes I remember snowballs as big cluster of little flowers
mostly they were white (were there pink ones too?)
(wasn't it a dowdy flower?)
do you think that is what chickie has?
Lulu and Happy are watchin' the cat family from the window, they find it endless source of amusement

it is hotter than blazes today, and our mountain is on fire
the smoke is closing out mountain from view and prolly driftin' over tucson too
that is where haze comes from
900 firefighers are up there fighting it now, but it's still spreadin'
swimmin' pool was frosty and delicious
Bill bought new bathing suit while I was in market
(he doesn't like shoppin' and waited till his suit had hole in it)

westy, you are so handsome
Love, Palo

I never was crazy bout snowballs, but funny thing is they trigger more memories for me (too) than the other flowers
that is why I love them so much

The Italian family that bowls together stays together ;-)I've never seen bocce played on grass before, but know that Eye-Ties do several things at night :Tend their vegetable gardens(peppers and tomatoes), go for walks in the neighbourhood, sit on the front porch (especially Grandma...she's there all day!), gossip about the in-laws, rub worry beads, think about death, before, during, and after after eating biscotti.<P.Have I covered what Italians do at night?? Oh, and play bocce ;-)

You mean that vile little thorny (Ow! Poky thingy!) plant can and does grow in a lawn setting?! I'd figure that since lawns get watered and fertilized, they'd be overfed and burn. Hmmm, a tougher adversary than I thought....

My rose has four or five blooms coming out. Can't tell if they'll be mottled yet or not. The miniature rose is doing very well too. Amazing considering it was almost completely brown just three weeks ago... and the fact that mini's aren't my thing.

Bangs? I don't see anything wrong with bangs... What is Bocce anyway? I've heard of it, and never played it myself. Kinda like golf, the way it's supposed to be. (I took out power to a small area once by hitting a pole transformer with a golf ball. Never played golf since.)

fofl!

bocce ball is played with 8 people, 4 on each team. you toss a little white ball called a palina onto the lawn in front of you. then each player rolls/throws (like lawn bowling) his bocce ball and the object is to try to land your bocce ball closest to the palina. you get a point for each one closest in distance to the palina. the first team to get 11 points win.
