No.
Dims are turning out in support.
The film got a 97% audience score on rotten tomatoes.
That says something.

There’s a massive spread of reviews unlike I’ve seen much in movies. From ‘it’s boring woke trash’ to ‘it’s action packed fantastic’.
I’ll see it later this week. I want this one to be good enough, that’s all.
I got really tired of Nolan’s shtick after tenet. Hes just a boring director. Im sure the movie 90% fine but I’m not going to watch 3 hours of his dull directing

Not if it was free and came with a complementary doobie.
Too much working against it for me to see it. Matt Damon. Greek ethnic cleansing. A ludicrous Achilles. It may have crossover appeal to superhero movie fans, but I was burned out on that type of movie decades ago.
The wokie brokies have to make a point of making this one a success.
I have no plans to watch a "woke," and/or "re-imagined" version of a Western Classic - and instead I plan to use the time to re-read The Odyssey, either Robert Fitzgerald or Robert Fagles' translation.
BTW:
I'll take Homer's description of "Helen of Troy" as fair-haired and light-eyed.
I haven’t seen it...
But initially, there had been lots of bad reviews on it.
Then about a week ago, when all the bad reviews started predicting the movie was going to flop, almost all leftist media sites started a full court press of continuously posting articles about how great the movie was, it’s the best movie ever since xyz, and how it would sweep awards, etc.
All the initial box office views will be from people fooled by the media narrative, and there’s likely going to be a big 2nd week drop off.

I highly recommend it for anyone who wants an honest take on the money and culture angles.
No, there is a massive effort to push this nonsense.
There are new generations
Going to a movie is easy
Reading an epic is hard
It’s a great movie. The rumors of it’s wokeness are largely imaginary. Nolan knocks it out of the park, again, as always. He’s just that good.
I am seeing more and more reviews that say it’s not as bad as people expected. Yeah, some of the casting was “ill advised” but several people have said that the characters were not significant to the overall movie.
I might even spend a few bucks to see this on Senior night at the local cinema. (It might be worth $7.50.)
These are all the people who bought IMAX tickets way in advance for $40. This movie needs to make $750 million to break even. It will have a great opening weekend but will get crushed in two weeks with Spiderman.
Once again, Hollyweird has upturned reality for delusion and freaky-factor. They’re counting on non-woke folks going to or paying to see this out of curiosity due to the rigged ratings.
Cultural appropriation.
“I thought it would be a massive bomb.”
Jury is still out. Advanced ticket sales for opening weekend were high. Nolan has a dedicated audience. Opening weekend isn’t the problem, it’s second weekend drop off, which fewer media will report because they need this to be thought of a big success rather than a moderate one. They expect the public to be lazy and make hasty generalizations.
The Last Jedi made a tremendous amount of money and was praised by critics, but turned out to be the movie that really sank the franchise.
