I haven’t seen it...
But initially, there had been lots of bad reviews on it.
Then about a week ago, when all the bad reviews started predicting the movie was going to flop, almost all leftist media sites started a full court press of continuously posting articles about how great the movie was, it’s the best movie ever since xyz, and how it would sweep awards, etc.
All the initial box office views will be from people fooled by the media narrative, and there’s likely going to be a big 2nd week drop off.
Yes, you’re right.
In any case films come 3 to 4 weeks later to my neck of the woods, so I will look at the 2nd week box office
A good proof point. How well did it do 2nd week.
Top Gun: Maverick only dropped about 30% second week, which apparently was very good.
and there’s likely going to be a big 2nd week drop off.”
Doubtful, the non stop media press has probably created enough “buzz” to give it momentum. The entire left is pushing this thing. Looks like that will be enough to push it up enough to avoid fail.
I guess the leftists finally got their checks.
Precisely
Like clockwork
Not genuine
I’m dismayed how many posters are ok with the appropriation of white history or literature
Some don’t surprise me given their posting history

I’m going to make a prediction: the movie WILL win awards. Why? Because that’s what “Hollywood” does. They’re in a delusional universe of their own making, and they’re going to be patting themselves on the back saying to each other “look what we did, aren’t we wonderful?” They make these movies for themselves, not us. Sure, they want our money, they can’t exist without it. They can’t force us to spend our money on their woke crap, so we can still voice our disapproval by NOT SEEING it.
Hitler had his fascism in the 1930s.
This re-writing of historical mythology is just part of their version of 21st century fascism.
