These models support AirPlay Mirroring, but only to:
AirPlay Mirroring was built for Apple TV. Even very old iPads can mirror to an Apple TV 2, 3, or 4.
Older iPads often cannot update high enough to support AirPlay 2. So many 2012–2014 iPads won’t mirror to modern TVs directly.
The original iPad cannot screen‑mirror at all. It can only output video using a wired adapter, not AirPlay.
If wireless mirroring fails, you can still mirror with:
