Horrifying super drug 100 times stronger than fentanyl claims first Bay Area victim (cychlorphine)

San Francisco health authorities are raising urgent concerns after a powerful synthetic opioid was detected in the city for the first time, and is already being tied to a fatal overdose earlier this month.

Officials with the San Francisco Department of Public Health say the drug, known as cychlorphine, surfaced in a counterfeit pill, prompting alarm over its extreme potency and unpredictable presence in the illicit drug market.

“We believe it is more potent than fentanyl. It was found we believe in someone using a counterfeit pill,” Daniel Tsai, director San Francisco Department of Public Health told ABC7.

Law enforcement officials say the substance was first identified just last year.

“The first time DEA saw it was in 2024 at one of our labs down in Florida,” Bob Beris, special agent in Charge of the DEA San Francisco Field Division told ABC. “I mean, a pill can show up in Chicago and, you know, 30 hours later, it can be in San Francisco, you know, using the I-80, the 99, I-5. These are major corridors.”

Authorities warn that cychlorphine is not confined to pills alone and can be hidden across multiple street drugs, making detection and avoidance especially difficult.

“It can be mixed into a pill. It can be sold as a powder. It can be mixed in with cocaine. It can be sold as cocaine. Again, just because we haven’t seen some of these examples yet doesn’t mean it’s not out there,” Beris said.

Public health experts are also sounding the alarm over testing limitations, saying current drug-checking tools may not catch the substance.

But why would our enemies want to kill off the drug users, if anything they would want more of them to burden the system.

Oddly enough... If all the drug addicts in the world take this new drug and die... Wouldn’t that solve our drug problem??? It would also put a major dent in the homelessness problem too.

"But why would our enemies want to kill off the drug users."

Would I be wrong in saying that nearly all young people, 16 to 30 years old, would or have use recreational narcotics if and when they had the opportunity to do so.?

Yes. I had the chance along with many of my friends, yet we never did, not once.

With that potency it would require an expert pharmacist to compound a dose accurately....

It ain’t easy to do such a thing... in olden days druggists would add a accurately measurable amount, say 1 gram of the medicinal and add it to say 1000ml of a fluid to be able to easily measure out a reasonable dosage... i.e. tonics, syrups etc pills are MUCH harder to compound. and with super potency nearly impossible to do unless you are VERY good at compounding!

So with something like fentanyl analogs its a crap shoot trying to make up an accurate dose... leads to unintentional deaths.

This is ultimately not a bad thing.

Sorry to say that, but we have given the druggies the soft-touch, it's not your fault, Stewart Smalley, approach for long enough.

If they are SO STUPID as to take uncontrolled pills from a dealer when everyone knows the pills are being doped with fentanyl, etc., in unknown quantities, then they, sad to say, deserve this fate.

Two options: They OD and die quietly and with really no discomfort. OR, they become protracted addicts, torturing and humiliating their families and friends (who soon abandon them) THEN become public nuisances and disease vectors, or worse, dealer-addicts who kill, steal, and conspire to enlarge their trade. Then they eventually get caught, go to prison, or get killed or OD.

Any way you look at it, option 1 is WAY less harmful to everyone.

Flame away. I speak the truth.

I like the way you think. I don't see a problem. I would flood the homeless encampments,
and the ghettos with this drug, kilo upon kilo. It would kills so many birds with one stone.

Re “Claims first victim”

Yeah… It’s terrible when a drug leaps out from ambush and forcibly injects itself into an innocent, helpless, human being, just minding his own business…

Zero sympathy.

You stick that crap into your body you might as well be playing Russian roulette with four full chambers and one empty.

Stupid people… Proving Darwin correct once again.

Bad Drug- but there’s a really nasty flesh eating drug addicts get hooked on too- Krocodil they call it because of what it does to the skin- then it eats large sections of muscle away- yet they ‘can’t’ quit-
