On Feb. 13, property theft detectives with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report regarding a theft involving a package that was never delivered two days prior, authorities said in a Facebook post.
An investigation into the alleged theft resulted in authorities identifying 27-year-old Tyran Jackson, a FedEx delivery driver, as a suspect in the case.
Authorities also learned the missing package was located inside a storage unit at the 10500 block of Perkins Road in Baton Rouge, according to police.
While executing a search warrant for the storage unit, investigators discovered approximately $62,000 worth of stolen FedEx merchandise inside the unit.
Photos shared by the police department show piles of boxes, including a Nike footwear box and large quantities of cigars, along with other smoking supplies.
Following the discovery and cataloging of the items, Jackson was subsequently located and taken into custody, police said.

This guy must have the IQ of a hockey puck.
And they want a traiff refund? Return those packages first
.
I am speechless....How does a human mind reach this level of stupidity? I worked for Fedex, they know where a package is at all times, ALL times. They are constantly scanned, recorded, what did this moron thing was going to happen? What was his excuse? “Well it was in my hand and it just... disappeared like magic! Yeah! That’s the ticket” Keep this guy away from democrats before they run him for President. What I’m wondering is who else was involved? Loss prevention is usually on top of it if even one is missing.
Yep
Obviously a DEI hire who probably got all kinds of performance awards and bonuses that were undeserved. So now he is qualified to work for the USPS since a recent Supreme Court decision ruled that USPS can’t be held responsible for even intentionally not delivering mail.
I strongly suspect he had inside help of some sort
democrat. It’s always a democrat. /spit
“...How does a human mind reach this level of stupidity?...”
It was his way of collecting what he considered his due “reperachuns”, dontchaknow.....

Anything is possible at FedEx
Since our company’s inception, opportunity has been at the forefront of our commitment to excellence. We believe that when we give everyone— regardless of their background— the opportunity to grow and advance their careers, we create an inclusive culture where everyone belongs.
I’ve had packages delivered to the wrong address but once the driver marks it as “delivered” your access to their tracking system ends right there. It is very difficult and time-consuming to get to a human. Easier to just get a replacement and everyone will assume it was stolen by a porch pirate. Just not but the FedEx guy.
FedEx is largely a subsidary of the dot Indians now.
I find that most criminal are idiots for not realizing how easily they’d be caught.
I am surprised it took so long for FEDEX to find out, since every package is tracked at every junction.
Photo....
Every year or so there is a story of a US postal carrier who tossed mail in a vacant lot or country road area to keep pace with the required work quotas.
Big problem for FedEx drivers is there is a computer tracking every move of a package and how long it took. “Gone somewhere. Unknown.” is not one of the categories.
1960s Mag Magazine gag of items in the “dead letter office” of the Post Office.
One letter from a friend to Abraham Lincoln.
“Abe, don’t waste your time going to see that play Our American Cousin. It’s a real turkey. Stay home and read.”
I get 100+ packages every year through Fedex. Can’t even remember last time one did not arrive.
Hire Randos get garbage performance
I had a new computer get burned up in a FedEX tractor trailer fire years ago. The shipper was reimbursed through insurance and they shipped another new computer after two months of haggling with them. :-)
We had a FedEx delivery at our office where the delivery guy delivered 3 or 4 boxes, then returned to his truck with one of the boxes. Marked all of them delivered. Tracking showed delivered but of course one was missing.
We have cameras that caught the guy trying to steal a package. After I called FedEx and told them I had the guy on camera, the package was delivered the next day.
It isn’t that hard to thwart the tracking system when you have guys like this working for you.
Both USPS and FedEx STINK on ice. I currently have a package of documents sitting at a USPS ‘Distribution Center’ right across the river from its ‘final destination’...been sitting there for 26 hours.
