Every year or so there is a story of a US postal carrier who tossed mail in a vacant lot or country road area to keep pace with the required work quotas.

Big problem for FedEx drivers is there is a computer tracking every move of a package and how long it took. “Gone somewhere. Unknown.” is not one of the categories.

My little brother had a paper route back in the day and when he ended his route with leftover newspapers he dumped them in an irrigation ditch.
