RFK's new initiative is looking to take aim at all the junk:
Rest in peace, food pyramid!
Long live the Trump Triangle of health! And with health advice like this, long life is much more likely.
The new website to promote the Trump dietary guidelines is realfood.gov! And, if you'll notice, it's essentially the inverse of the old food pyramid, pictured here π
Wikipedia/USDA Protein, dairy, and fat are now at the top of the graphic.
Here's RFK promoting the real food campaign and attacking the ultra-processed food industry at today's dietary guideline announcement:
The hard truth is that our government has been lying to us to protect corporate profit taking. Telling us that these food-like substances were beneficial to public health.
Federal policy promoted and subsidized highly processed foods and refined carbohydrates and turned a blind eye to the disastrous consequences.
Today the lies stop.
Liberals on Bluesky are not happy:
Expect the liberal boycott of Whole Foods any time now. Dems are about to start eating Doritos Locos Tacos and chugging white Monster energy drinks in protest, I'm sure.
It's 2026 and the government is having to tell Americans that they're supposed to eat real food.
Clown world is an understatement.
But it's hard to argue that this isn't a positive development.

Beans are not visible in the chart at all.
Both are very, very healthy foods.

Excellent, but the thing is food isn’t a constant. Wheat, is TOTALLY DIFFERENT than what it was for the first 30 years of your life and now human bodies cannot handle it nearly as well as before and it winds up triggering diabetes in many, many, people (even Japan, with near-zero obesity, is dealing with a diabetes epidemic).
And then once you have diabetes, ANY carbs starts destroying your body as they spike blood sugar. RFK knows it, as his pyramid shows.
That one bowl appears to be Red Beans and Rice.......
This is actually beautifully done.

The one near the dividing line? I was wondering — rice is a whole grain.
Whole grains are overrated.
That looks like a waxy yellow potato. Much better.

Organic wheat is not different.
While conventional white flour is slow release poison.
Given the quality of Little Caesars of late, you could probably replace it with the box it came in and be better off.

What does that even mean?
Theyre near the bottom, both as a topping to the bowl of rice and two beans (white and red) just under the peanut.
It means they’re not really so good for you. Almost pure carbs, though sure some fiber and minerals, etc. Should be consumed in limited quantities, as the new pyramid suggests.
They are good for you in that they may be better than refined grains, but note that they don’t have other than whole grains (or sugar) on the pyramid at all.
That’s a lot of chicken!
Needs more fish and whale blubber..............
