This will result in reduced expenses and higher profits.

For who?

Force multiplier for researchers. If it crunches data, the researchers won’t have to crunch it themselves. This frees them up to do other things.

Is it usually better to have one researcher on a project or two or three?

So what happens to the two researchers that get laid off?

AI and data centers are quite possibly a force multiplier on human intelligence because it will crunch thousands of years of information in just a few minutes, freeing up mental resources that can be used for other things.

......

Possible maybes. ?

Like global warming?

It can greatly increase productivity at work. We’ve already identified new product suppliers for our company.

It decreases the amount of time spent searching the web from hours down to minutes.

We live in a mostly free market capitalist society => The market (everyone) decided. There are enough validated use cases showing people pay for services that require AI to convince CEOs and venture capitalists to invest heavily.

Like most other things we don’t need it but some people want it and use it. That’s the way freedom works.

There is no limit of work in the universe. For them, they will probably always have a job somewhere.

AI would hurt those whose jobs involve processing. IF not A then B and if not B then C type jobs. That’s where AI could really hurt in the employment sector.

The question is who will do the work...people or machines?

It decreases the amount of time spent searching the web from hours down to minutes.

But not all knowledge is on the Web or Internet.
