If you haven't heard, Glock discontinued all of its current double-stack pistol models because the state of California, the city of Chicago, and other leftist governments sued the gun manufacturer, putting the blame for illegal modifications on the company, not the criminals who are actually committing the crimes.
Here's the AG of New Jersey with one such lawsuit:

Liberal governments have used this tactic against other companies like Kia and Hyundai in recent years, suing the car companies for not making it harder to steal their cars ... instead of, you know, the thieves who are actually stealing the cars. 👇

Well, Glock decided to bend the knee and changed its entire lineup of pistols beginning this month, replacing earlier generations with a generic "V" generation that is supposed to be more difficult to modify.
The primary issue is that a $25 "switch" placed at the back of the pistol's slide can easily allow the semi-auto firing mechanism to become full-auto, which have been illegal since Ronald Reagan banned us from having nice things in 1986.

Well, Glock jumped through all the hoops for the gun-control overlords across the land and redesigned their entire product line in a move that cost untold millions (billions?).
It took Americans about five whole minutes to figure out how to get around the new guardrails, which means the gangs of black teens in Chiraq will still be able to do the thing that this whole spectacle was meant to prevent!
Glock engineers, who haven't had to actually engineer anything in 40 years, are no match for the combined autism of the entire 07/02 FFL network.

I’m not a big Glock fan. Nor a little Glock fan. They all look the same to me but are no way smoother than a Sig or Browning. But they made a lot of them.....just take your pick.

I was a Glock fan boy until I figured out the V series was them doing nothing but surrendering. I swear I will not purchase another Glock until the G series returns.
I want one of them switches. For scientific purposes only.
I like that you can use the same holster, leather or kydex, for the Glocks 19 (9mm) & 23 (.40 S&W).
I was weaned on a Browning Hipower though, and DA plastic pistols still make me nervous in the service

I’ve seen one of these fired.
The first bullet might hit the spot. The rest are just spraying the general area with lead.
And, most of these are being used by gang bangers—most of whom have never been to a range in their lives. The first time they pull the trigger is in a gunfight.
That said, when I was on a grand jury for 90 days I saw at least a dozen of these things taken off the street in my county. That is a scary thought—idiot bangers blazing away with these things when young children can be hit.
In short, they are stupid and practically useless.
Looks like they finally got one tuned up. That sucker tosses them down range a bucket at a time.
The banning of any full auto is silly. Why not put governors on cars that disable them from exceeding g the posted speed limit? How about gun buy backs when they never bought the gun to begin with? The degree of stupidity on this planet is amazing.
You've not seen many guns if you think that.
Right off the top of my head, there's the Mars pistol, GyroJet, Cochran turret revolver, FP-45 Liberator, Nambu 94, Mateba automatic revolver, Hi-Point, Chiappa Rhino, Dardick 1500, Dreyse 1907, Nagant M1895, ....
However, Glocks are ugly, and the ugliness is one of my favorite features. I'm a bit OCD about firearms remaining pristine, but a Glock is SO UGLY, I got no emotional connection to them. It's JUST a tool to me, nothing more. I figure there's nothing I can do to it to make it any uglier. So if I need a hammer and don't have one handy, a Glock'll do.
