You've not seen many guns if you think that.
Right off the top of my head, there's the Mars pistol, GyroJet, Cochran turret revolver, FP-45 Liberator, Nambu 94, Mateba automatic revolver, Hi-Point, Chiappa Rhino, Dardick 1500, Dreyse 1907, Nagant M1895, ....
However, Glocks are ugly, and the ugliness is one of my favorite features. I'm a bit OCD about firearms remaining pristine, but a Glock is SO UGLY, I got no emotional connection to them. It's JUST a tool to me, nothing more. I figure there's nothing I can do to it to make it any uglier. So if I need a hammer and don't have one handy, a Glock'll do.

A fellow I knew who “worked” overseas liked Glocks because they were reliable and he could throw it out the window of the bus on the way to the airport and not feel bad.
