You've not seen many guns if you think that.

Right off the top of my head, there's the Mars pistol, GyroJet, Cochran turret revolver, FP-45 Liberator, Nambu 94, Mateba automatic revolver, Hi-Point, Chiappa Rhino, Dardick 1500, Dreyse 1907, Nagant M1895, ....

However, Glocks are ugly, and the ugliness is one of my favorite features. I'm a bit OCD about firearms remaining pristine, but a Glock is SO UGLY, I got no emotional connection to them. It's JUST a tool to me, nothing more. I figure there's nothing I can do to it to make it any uglier. So if I need a hammer and don't have one handy, a Glock'll do.
