A Starbucks cup from the Chicago location with “Loser :)” written on it after a customer ordered Charlie Kirk’s favorite drink, alongside a screenshot of a store manager.
====================================================================
A Starbucks in Chicago has been forced to temporarily shut down after staff allegedly mocked a senior citizen customer by scrawling “LOSER” across her order, all because she asked for Charlie Kirk’s favorite drink.
On Tuesday, Jacqueline Garretson took to X to expose what happened to her mother-in-law at the Starbucks on Northwest Highway and Harlem Avenue.
“This morning a family member went to Starbucks and ordered Charlie Kirk’s favorite drink — Mint Majesty with honey. When their cup came back, it was marked with the word ‘loser :)’ scribbled across it,” Garretson wrote.
“No customer should ever be mocked or insulted because of what they order or what they believe. This is blatant bias, unprofessional, and unacceptable.”
Garretson and her husband quickly demanded answers from management.

The couple immediately confronted the store’s district manager, demanding swift action against the employee responsible.
Jacqueline Garretson: I called in yesterday after this incident happened. I’m sure you’ve heard about it. My mother-in-law came in and ordered a Mint Majesty Tea in honor of Charlie Kirk, and this was written on her cup. I’m sure your phone lines have been ringing off the hook, and they’re going to continue to ring off the hook until something happens about the situation.
Husband: Accountability for sure.
Jacqueline Garretson: So what are we doing with all this?
District Manager: We’re in the process of the investigation, figuring out what happened. The people who were here yesterday—we’re trying to understand. We’re still looking into the situation. We are taking action.
Husband: How long does that take? Because it’s been over 24 hours, and I’m sure the person is here right now.
District Manager: Well, we didn’t know for 24 hours.
Husband: You did. You knew immediately.
Jacqueline Garretson: I called yesterday morning. The manager on duty said they would call me yesterday afternoon. Same with my mother-in-law. I heard nothing.
District Manager: What’s challenging right now is that everybody is calling, saying that they were the one it happened to. So we didn’t know which one was the actual incident.
Jacqueline Garretson: Yeah, it’s us. This is our family member. We just picked up the cup.
Husband: It’s my senior citizen mother—she’s not even political.
Jacqueline Garretson: Yeah, she could not be a more unpolitical person whatsoever. But she has morality. She knows what happened to this man is wrong and wanted to order this because it’s trending on social media.
Jacqueline Garretson: So the fact that she left with this cup, then to find out it has “loser” written all over it—that is disgusting.
District Manager: I understand. I understand. All I can say right now is that we’re looking into it and following up on it. I can’t tell you at this moment what the outcome is going to be, because I don’t even know. At this point, it’s not on my terms. The investigation is ongoing.
Husband: So did you ask any of the employees that are here today if they were here yesterday morning? You know who was here. We’re looking for—not corporate bureaucracy—but immediate accountability.
District Manager: I appreciate that.
Husband: And if not, I will have this whole intersection lined with patriots today. I’m not even joking.
District Manager: I don’t think that you are.
Husband: I’m not. That’s my mother.
District Manager: Like I said, I can’t divulge what is happening in the middle of an investigation. I’m not fully in charge of the line. That’s all I can say. What I can do today is help you get a refund on everything.
Jacqueline Garretson: Yes, please refund her. It doesn’t matter if you’re left or right—what happened is wrong, right? And this adds fuel, putting salt in a wound. It just does. I knew Charlie personally, so you’re adding to that.
Husband: I’ll tell you what—you guys picked the wrong person this time. We’re looking for immediate accountability and action, not just corporate callbacks and investigations. I’m talking 5:00 PM today. I want some form of action taken against the employee who represents this business and wrote “loser” on my mother’s cup.

By Wednesday evening, Starbucks had temporarily shut down the Chicago location.
“We asked Starbucks for accountability by 5pm. When we arrived, the store was temporarily closed. Thank you to everyone who has called and stopped into the store over the past 48 hours. We are all Charlie now,” Garretson wrote.
Starbucks corporate later issued a statement.
“There are no restrictions on customers using Charlie Kirk’s name on their order, and we are following up with our team.”
But the response only fueled more anger, especially after former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani weighed in.
Despite promises from management, Garretson revealed on Thursday that neither the district manager nor Starbucks corporate had reached out more than 48 hours later.
“48+ hours into #LoserGate and still no call back from the District Manager (even though he promised). Corporate hasn’t reached out either despite multiple attempts. Store is closed, only the drive-thru is open — so I can’t even follow up in person,” she posted.
The Gateway Pundit has reached out to Starbucks for comment.
It’s time to make these spoiled brat lefties leave America for good if they hate it so bad and send them to any Marxist nation of their choice.
But Northwest Highway and Harlem? That spot is probably right next to the local pierogi joint. And the management response is shut down the whole store and put all of the employees and suppliers out of work instead of just terminating the one person responsible for this Starbuck's Coffee Storm.
This is how civil wars start.............................
Working at Starbucks is an honest job. I respect anyone doing an honest job.
Until they use their honest job as a platform for being a rectal orifice. Then they forfeit respect.
Yes I fought in the mint tea wars.
What’s the difference here?
Some faggot goes to a christian bakery and is denied getting a fag wedding cake. The baker won’t do it because it’s against his beliefs and wins in court. It’s the bakers choice.
A conservative goes to a Starbucks and orders whatever Charlie Kirk’s favorite drink was and gets “loser” written on it. Kind of expected from Starbucks which is about as far left as it gets, not to mention the coffee sucks and is way overpriced.
Should “it” (you never know what they are in Starbucks) have written loser? No.. childish at best but not expecting a reaction would be stupid.
I don’t associate with anyone on the left, would never go into a leftist shithole store or near one. Look at what these freaks do on a daily basis... they’re not sane by any means.
Shoulda asked who made the drink, then thrown it in their face!
Well, a store cannot write anything, but an idiot/moron/imbecile who works there can.
If only the drive through is open, it would be a shame if a series of cars just happened to break down just before they got to the window.
I agree. The husband needs to understand that it takes time to investigate and decide what to do. My guess is that the employee WILL be fired in the near future.
They do all seem to have the same genetic makeup...weirdly slender, slack jawed, skull full of mush.
I can recall when they were called "Navy watch caps" and they were normally only worn by those backpacking into the wilderness, then the TV show "Along Came Bronson" in the early '70s with the main character wearing one changed everything. Beanie hats nowadays seen to be a symbol of climate change progressives.
Overpriced garbage, we still have a 20 dollar starbucks gift card that we got 10 yrs ago yeah thats how many yrs ago I actually walked into a starbucks
Yup!
That’s “him”.
A barista at Starbucks writing loser is irony enough.
Having it written on his forehead would add to the irony.

Uh-oh. Microaggression. The bane of the modern world.
These people need to get a life. It's impossible to navigate living without having experiences like this.
Now the right acts just like (what it used to criticize about) the left: being perpetually offended.
Taking a stand - over a cup of coffee worth a few bucks. Outrage! What a couple of whining goofballs. 🙄
When something like this happens, we have a perfect opportunity to insult the individual directly - to their face, instead of making a federal case out of it. Be done with it and move on.
Instead, we post it on X and get everybody all worked up over nonsense.
This is now the American way. No wonder other countries hate us.
