Cracker Barrel doubles down on woke 'values' as it breaks silence over backlash at hated rebrand

Cracker Barrel has doubled down on its woke values as it defends itself from furious criticism over its new rebrand.

The iconic restaurant chain recently unveiled a new logo, dumping the American hero mascot in favor of bland font on a plain background.

In a statement shared Monday amid the backlash, Cracker Barrel vowed to be 'a place where everyone feels at home, no matter where you're from or where you're headed.

'What has not changed, and what will never change, are the values this company was built on when Cracker Barrel first opened in 1969: hard work, family, and scratch-cooked food made with care.'

Cracker Barrel vowed to maintain the decor and heart of the business that customers have grown to love over the decades - rocking chairs on the porch, fireplaces burning, 'peg games on the table... and vintage Americana antiques pulled straight from our warehouse in Lebanon, Tennessee.'

In an effort to reverse some of the outrage about removing Uncle Herschel's likeness from the logo, the company has committed to bringing back Uncle Herschel’s Favorite breakfast platter after it was scrapped from the menu in 2022.

'He's not going anywhere - he's family,' the company wrote.

Another company that forgot how it became a household name in the first place. Only Disney has survived that lesson. So far.

I’ve been traveling by car for the last few days, and I’ve decided that the new logo might be easier to read, which can’t hurt.

From a distance, the old logo looks like a Nutty Buddy.

Following in the footsteps of Bud Light. RIP, Cracker Barrel.

If it wouldn’t invite the woke lawyers, it would be great to open up a new chain of stores:

Crack This

You knew the old logo from a distance. You may not be able to read it but you knew it.

You know in that pic Greta looks like she could be the sister of that banjo boy in Deliverance.

I forgot that they got rid of Uncle Herschel’s Breakfast. I want fried catfish for breakfast.

Looks like they are bringing it back.

Companies that are looking to “remodel” any of their brands should do a staged and thoughtful rollout where they can always backtrack long before some new change hits mainstream, I would suggest a 0.5% -> 1.5% -> 4.0% -> 9.0% -> 17.0% -> 28% -> 40% strategy of 7 phases where they carefully examine feedback & differences before proceeding with the next phase & that they be ready to postpone, cancel & redo. Too often they rush because of its in the best interests of some “big bang” consultant to do so. So, instead of being thoughtful, they get rushed. If they cancel anytime in the first 4 phases they can say it was just some “test” in some certain niches and that there was no plan (ie if never approved then its just a proposal) to replace the brand & that they are still carrying forward with their traditional brand.

When rebranding blows up they have novody to blame but themselves.

Libs generally do double down- too ignorant to realize that their nonsense won’t be tolerated. It’s like they bite off their noses just to spite their faces.

It IS deliberate…this response underlines it. This is all BlackRock ESG. You’ll eat your fake eggs and cricket powder and you’ll like it!

There is a resemblance there. She would probably end up marrying him too if they were related, that is if she is straight…

But what about cheapening and de-flavoring the food? They did that early on!

Mr. Fink had a fine financial product. It predicted toxic assets. Then he changed it to support leftist causes. One of those companies his Blackrock corporation leaned on was Cracker Barrel. The pink Mafia has racked up another business soon to fail.

Even worse are the woke politicians. The Calgary Soviet, er, Calgary City Council, is one of the most woke, in Canaduh.

Near the downtown, is 'Fort Calgary', a recreation of the original North West Mounted Police Fort, which existed on that spot. The building has been known as 'Fort Calgary' for decades. Being too much of a sign of 'colonialism' apparently, they changed the name to 'The Confluence'. Yes, it is located where the Elbow River flows into the Bow River, but how many know that would be the 'confluence' of the rivers? Stupid idea to rename Fort Calgary!<\p>

Yet another stupid, woke idea was to change the city branding. The old branding was: 'Calgary: Be part of our energy'. Now, after spending several million dollars, the 'brain trust' at 800 McLeod Trail SE (City Hall), has come up with: 'Calgary: Blue Sky City'. What an absolute joke! I prefer to now call it 'Calgary: BS City. <\p>

The old branding was reflective of so many things, the energy of a young populace, the energy of a highly innovative work force and, of course, the Capital of the energy business in Canaduh. But, of course, the 'energy business' is anathema to the socialist apparatchiks on City Council and the bureaucrats at City Hall! Heavens to gaia! THAT branding HAD TO GO! Instead, the Calgary Soviet and apparatchiks at City Hall, after spending millions of dollars of taxpayer money, came up with the innocuous, 'Calgary: Blue Sky City', something devoid of any meaning. <\p>

Calgary: BS City! Monday, October 20, 2025 cannot come soon enough! Municipal election day, the day the grifter socialist city council, er, Soviet, get tossed out on their butts!

The brainwashed wokesters are in charge of companies now. They believe they are fulfilling a directive to include everyone into what will be a mishmosh of actually, NO diversity(cause everyone is the same, right). So diversity on the outside, but woke conformity at the core.
Cracker Barrel was making money on nostalgic foods and ambience...now it wants to attract more peeps but using the attractive power of Cracker Barrel. All they had to do was add some more foods...and slightly tone down the hometown feel a bit.
Instead they revealed themselves to be DEI , LGBTQ+#@$ acolytes. Owned by major investment firms .
Cracker Barrel has been dead for more than a few years.
Go somewhere else. Kill the company... it’s not your father’s Cracker Barrel.
