Tucker hits conservatives for taking fake victory laps:

At some point, I want to look around and see a better country. I want to see a country I recognize. I don't want to see people sleeping on the sidewalk. I don't want to see people ODing on drugs. I want to know where those drugs are coming from. Why can't you stop it? You've got the US military. Don't you have Seal Team Six? What are they doing today? Are you going to give me another segment about how impressive the US military is? Why aren't they employed to make my country better? Why are my cities disgusting? I don't even want to go there. I’m all for invading MessCo to take out the cartels, even annexing the whole country, give the US somewhere to dump all the illegal aliens who’ve invaded the country in the past couple decades.
And arrest the SCOTUS justices who disagree… hell, it was good enough for Lincoln (viz. Merrick and Carmichael).
If THAT’s not “real stuff” I don’t know what is.
I’ve long advocated for a daily cruise missile aimed at the Chinese chemical factories pumping out the precursors to fentanyl and meth that are shipped to Mexico for assembly.
Be sure to tell China the missiles will stop when the chemistry stops shipping.
China has been waging an extremely effective drug war on us. Time to make them pay.

The problem, I think, is Congress. The GOP seems to lack coherence or the will to accomplish things under Trump. They don’t want to do the Carpe Diem thing.
Do people have the stomach generally fore the “real stuff” it means deep cuts everywhere and this is intolerable to some.
He can’t be wrong all of the time.
A debate on the US budget is long overdue. There is talk of a second reconciliation bill but it’s poor timing. The time to act was now really. I fear mid-term elections will just be an excuse to put things off. It’s a mess really.
How the hell is Seal Team 6 going to stop people from sleeping on the streets or overdosing on drugs? That’s not their job. And President Trump doesn’t run the “disgusting” cities—Democrat mayors and city councils do.
I’m impressed with what President Trump has been able to accomplish in such a short time in the face of an adversarial judiciary, Federal Reserve and media.

We tried the war on drugs. Turns out we hit the wall of supply and demand, and we learned that the drug suppliers are clever, and police and politicians can be bought.
We have tried helping the druggies. Turns out they don’t want the help, and when we try to give them a nice place to stay, they destroy it.

People should remember most of the problems we have today are the result of “solutions” which were claimed to be wonderful when they were implemented.
Cucker just sounds more and more like a frustrated old man.
Hannity on his radio show just prior to the passage of the BBB was taking up the mantle of demanding a return to Constitutional regular order, the sine qua non of generating balanced federal budgets, but notoriously absent since 9/11/2001.
Why push for another reconciliation bill
Billions of revenue from Trump-instituted tariffs are rolling in. So, in terms of pushing for a balanced budget, the iron is arguably hot for the striking.
Sometimes the most effective thing you can do is shine a strong light on a corrupt system and influence the public.
Once you’re a cog in the system you have to play ball with them.
