Jaguar’s European sales collapsed by 97.5% in April 2025, registering just 49 vehicles, according to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (AECA). That’s a steep drop from 1,961 units sold in the same month last year. Year-to-date sales from January to April were down 75.1%, totaling only 2,665 units. Globally, Jaguar sold just 26,862 vehicles in FY24/25 — an 85% drop compared to 2018.

"They tried to market Jaguars to people who were much more inclined to want to drive Probes." They successfully reached people who want to be probed.

When this is your head of marketing

And he starts off the annual presentation with "as a gay man......." That should be all the CEO needs to hear to fire him on the spot. Nobody gives the slightest damn what YOU personally do in the bedroom. We employ you to SELL CARS. Anything you do that does not further the mission of SELLING CARS is not your job and does not advance our interests.

Is Jaguar going to take a page from the Democrat playbook and blame consumers for not recognizing how awesome the new Jaguar cars are?

when i was in undergrad school at VaTech, old VWs were very popular for that reason ... old Toyota 4-wheelers were a runner-up, and finally, there was a small group that were into old Citroens that had the all-wheel independent hydraulic suspension ... all of the above could be found in various states of “repair” in the yards of houses available for lease to students ...

The campaign emphasized abstract slogans like “Copy Nothing” and leaned into identity marketing, drawing criticism for sidelining the very design and performance elements that once defined the brand.Go woke, go broke.

German cars had a great reputation for well designed cars. Had.I have personally witnessed the decline in quality and innovation in the BMW E90 generation over the past 30 years. It was ALWAYS on Car and Drivers Top Ten list, until recently.

Japanese engineering does. Not only does Japan (Lexus/Toyota) surpass German (MB/BMW/Audi) designs in engineering but also in quality holding the top 2 spots.
btw, Mazda is #3
