Well, it brings me no pleasure to bag on Pepsi but the people have spoken with their almighty dollars.
Recently, Dr Pepper made its debut in the #2 slot, knocking Pepsi to the bronze position.
There's hope for America! Dr Pepper just toppled Pepsi and I am here for it Just when we seemed to be at our darkest hour, a glimmer of hope arose. NOTTHEBEE.COM

Now, the former king of pop (although it has been a few decades now) has been supplanted by what some may consider a surprising choice.
Yes, Sprite is now the country's third-favorite soda.
Let's be honest, these ARE the three best sodas. In places two and three are Dr. Pepper and Sprite, respectively, per the outlet. The former soft drink accounts for 8.3 percent of all canned soda sales, while the latter one is responsible for 8.03 percent, the outlet reported.
Pepsi, in comparison, only has 7.97 percent of the market, according to the outlet.
See ya later, Pepsi!
This isn't so much a hatred of Pepsi, although it is sorta gross, but it's more about how we, as a country, have finally got it right. Trump hasn't even been president for 6 months but already the three best sodas are now the three best selling sodas.
Now we've just got to fix the order and establish Dr Pepper supremacy.
Awesome!!!
The wife doesn’t go a day (unfortunately) without a Diet Dr. Pepper. It was scarce during Covid and still is hit or miss in the stores unlike regular Dr. Pepper. Walmart’s knockoff Dr. Thunder isn’t bad at all, though the Diet version isn’t always on the shelf at our local store.
Dr Pepper 8.3 percent
Sprite 8.03 percent
Pepsi 7.97 percent”
Those three are pretty close. Sprite and Pepsi are really close — neck ‘n neck.
I was in Europe in 2006 and 2007, but never saw AfriCola during my time there. Glad I missed it.
Diet Dr pepper actually tastes good.......
C&C has been mentioned twice (never heard of it till now) and no one else remembers Jolt? That was also supposed to have a heavy dose of caffeine, too.
I didn’t care for it but knew folks that did. Tasted like caffeinated bubblegum.
Mexican (cane sugar) Coke is my favorite. Followed by what they call “Classic” Coke. Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, 7-UP, and HEB Original Cola I’ll drink for a change of pace but always go back to Classic.
>>The bomb at 120mg of caffeine but only sold in a few southern states
Jolt cola is expected to relaunch this year at 200mg caffeine per 16oz.
Maybe Pepsi can advertise that they no longer use aborted fetuses in their product?
Right there you mention Jolt. Stupid me!
I remember Jolt. Had a can as a kid and then my parents said no more.
I remember Jolt. I was never allowed to consume it.
Sprite is the worst. 7up is superior. I prefer root beer, Squirt or ginger ale.
The only time we drank Ginger Ale as kids was when we were sick. I think that's one of the reasons why I never drank it as an adult. I like Cream Soda. A&W makes a great Cream Soda, but I can't drink the regular stuff. I used to be able to find their Diet Cream Soda at a pizza shop, but then they stopped carrying it. A&W switched to a Zero Sugar Cream Soda, but it doesn't have as good a taste as their Diet did. The only place I've found the A&W Zero Sugar Cream Soda in the 16 ounce bottle is at Walmart in their refrigerated beverage section. Nobody else around here carries it.
“Pepsi-Cola hits the spot / Twelve full ounces, that’s a lot / Twice as much for a nickel, too / Pepsi-Cola is the drink for you.”
Well Rodney must have stole cuz I saw on YouTube with Carson.
Pepsi is for Yankees
Overseas we
are all considered “Yankee” but “westerner” in Thailand and Vietnam but in Vietnam if you’re American than American automatically trumps “westerner’ and any other nationality is a westerner but US Americans is “American”.
Oh, dear! I didn’t see that one coming. ;-D
“”Worst cola in Europe IMHO: AfriCola. Eww!”
Had never heard of it but I have never have made it east of the UK other than Japan. I looked it up, in spite of the name it is a German product going back around 95 years.
