Well, it brings me no pleasure to bag on Pepsi but the people have spoken with their almighty dollars.
Recently, Dr Pepper made its debut in the #2 slot, knocking Pepsi to the bronze position.
There's hope for America! Dr Pepper just toppled Pepsi and I am here for it Just when we seemed to be at our darkest hour, a glimmer of hope arose. NOTTHEBEE.COM

Now, the former king of pop (although it has been a few decades now) has been supplanted by what some may consider a surprising choice.
Yes, Sprite is now the country's third-favorite soda.
Let's be honest, these ARE the three best sodas. In places two and three are Dr. Pepper and Sprite, respectively, per the outlet. The former soft drink accounts for 8.3 percent of all canned soda sales, while the latter one is responsible for 8.03 percent, the outlet reported.
Pepsi, in comparison, only has 7.97 percent of the market, according to the outlet.
See ya later, Pepsi!
This isn't so much a hatred of Pepsi, although it is sorta gross, but it's more about how we, as a country, have finally got it right. Trump hasn't even been president for 6 months but already the three best sodas are now the three best selling sodas.
Now we've just got to fix the order and establish Dr Pepper supremacy.
Yes Cheerwine is very popular in NC and has made inroads in Tennessee.
I don’t drink much soda, either, other than the occasional Mexican Coke. In true Southern fasbion, I live on iced tea with fresh lemon and sprig of mint stirred in.
Anybody remember C&C Cola? It had heart attack levels of caffeine.
Not off hand but I do remember Jolt.
I’ve noticed a lot more people around me expressing a preference for Dr. Pepper.
Yes, Orange Fanta is super popular in many parts of the world and way better than what you get in The States.
Worst cola in Europe IMHO: AfriCola. Eww!
I’ve switched over to zero sugar too.
My favorite pop has always been Mt Dew. Haven’t had any in two years. The Zero Sugar variant is just OK. They really have the root beers down in ZS.
I also like Dr Pepper and Cheerwine Zero. (I’m a yankee and can’t get that often)
Ginger ale is good as ZS. Vernor’s especially.
Give me back a pure sugar cane RC and a big Moon Pie. Coca Cola is becoming so Yuppie oriented you have to read the bottle or can carefully now to get a so called original taste Coke. Their stupid naming them makes matters worse. I wish all companies would end their use of corn syrup and return to cane sugar. BTW side story on Dr Pepper. Older bottles used to say Good For Life on the labels. Goobermunt made them remove it.
That cola phosphoric acid will take the grasshoppers off your car’s grill, but won’t hurt your stomach lining or kidneys, no sir.
I liked Bubble Up before it diapperared.
RC cola or Nehi, with a vanilla Moon pie.
M-O-O-N that spells moon pie.
Growing up in Philly we had regional sodas like Frank’s (”If it’s Frank’s, thanks!”) and Puerto Rico (”Hey Chico, make mine Puerto Rico!”)
The real real was going to a gathering/party where the adults had their keg and the kids had draft birch beer!
“The former soft drink accounts for 8.3 percent of all canned soda sales...”
I thought Dr. Pepper came in a bottle?
All sodas are empty calories and cancer causing chemicals. I guzzled them in my teens and 20s (mostly Dr. Pepper), but have thankfully long given them up.
I once won a year’s supply of Dr. Pepper by winning an 8th grade bowling contest. Needless to say, having a soda truck pull up to the house and start unloading cases of Dr. Pepper was a surprise to my family.
Me too!
College age kids especially........
Haven’t seen a bottle in years........
Diet Moxie and 100 proof Southern Comfort. We call it a medicine ball.
Have yet to find Pepsi Zero around here (northeast Oklahoma), but Pepsi always tastes weak to me, anyway. Coke Zero is my brand. Tastes like real coke, unlike that nasty diet coke.
That was Henny Youngman
