Little Bags of Chips
Chickensoup | Chickensoup

Posted on 05/04/2025 9:07:45 AM PDT by Chickensoup

At the store today for the first time saw SINGLE SERVING chip bags for sale.

160 calories per bag.

Kennedys influence is already present in the stores.

We have not seen these sizes fire sale individually in stores in 30 to 40 years

I saw a container of Ghost Pepper Potato Chips the other day. I’m still debating on whether to try some.
Even Pringles has a similar taste called ‘Scortin’ Hot!’.
Probably good for what ails you, but not on an empty stomach. The packaging displays the warning, with bright hot garish colors.

Mom recently told me that when she was little (1950’s) there was a miniature loaf of bread. Typical white, like Wonder Bread or Taystee. It was not much bigger than two or three hot dog buns and to this day she doesn’t know why they made them.

I recall going on a school tour of the Helms Bakery near Los Angeles as in kid around 1958 or so and they gave us miniature loaves of bread as a souvenir.

yes the tiny “single serving”, and literally everywhere I’ve ever been. I think you just weren’t looking. Big ol bag of confirmation bias.

I guess I don’t read the nutrition labels on food. I always thought the chips at convenience stores are one serving. If they are 3 servings, then I am satisfied.

I am struck by the overall contrarian nature of this thread.

You have reported that you saw something today which you had not seen before.

People are quick to say that THEY have seen it before.(So apparently you are wrong.)
People are quick to say that THEY have seen something different than what you saw, but it’s sort of like what you saw. (So apparently you are wrong.)
People are quick to say that some locations carry the item although you may not shop there, so you may not know. (So apparently you are wrong.)

But I for one find it interesting that you saw something new at the locations where you usually shop, and that this may indeed represent some influence of RFK jr and a potential growing trend for companies to market healthier items to the public.

Several years ago we were given some of these. They were little “promo” loaves.

........

Thank you!

Exactly.

As a matter of fact several people in line at our store spoke about it. Most stated that it was about time the smaller size was available.

Why not shove your head up your *** and whistle Dixie?

Because having Chickensoup fingers up your ass, it sounds more like “Pflrprtptprrrt” than an actual whistle?

Funny but sick.

Btw. Chickensoup has soup cans not fingers.

In the early fifties, my school would sponsor trips to various places like bakeries and bottling places. The bakery always gave each student a miniature loaf of white bread, maybe twice or three times the size of a dinner roll. At the Coca Cola plant, we received a small 6 oz bottle of cola. Once we even got to take train ride.
