...It gave him a mandate to kick the tires, check the dipstick, and make sure things are running well and efficiently. What Elon Musk is doing is way beyond any mandate that Trump could possibly claim."

The mandate is to boost economic growth and stop going further into debt.
Shutting down gross graft and useless spending is yugely in order.

DEMOCRATS NEED TO FIND ONE PERSON WORKING ON COMPUTERS IN DC THAT WAS ‘ELECTED’ BY THE PEOPLE.
THERE ARE NONE.
TRUMP IS DOING THE JOB HE WAS HIRED TO DO. AND PART OF THAT IS TO HIRE PEOPLE TO DO ‘THE WORK’ THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE.

Wow. This Aaron Rupar guy claims to know exactly why people voted for Trump. Is he a mind reader? A mystic?
Or is he just another liberal big mouth?

They are not dismantling government.

I was worried that DOGE was going to just focus on tweaking a few things to improve efficiency and leave all the pathologies untouched and unchecked.
This WRECKING BALL approach is outstanding. This is a once-in-a-century opportunity to gut and rebuild the entire out-of-control federal government, much of it from scratch.

Yes it did. Trump said he was going to destroy the Deep State. That’s what we wanted and that’s what he’s doing.

Oh I most certainly did vote for this. And yes, I understood it will be painful. This is not Trump’s fault or Musk’s. It is congress’s fault. They wrote the bills, they authorized it, and they failed oversight management. Instead they robbed us blind.
