President elect Donald Trump reportedly plans to issue an executive order on his 'first day in office' to ban transgender members of the military.
The controversial order would cause as many as 15,000 active service members to be 'medically discharged' - deeming them unfit to serve, according to The Times.
Trump seeks to issue the executive action on January 20, 2025 or Day 1 of his term, the Times said, preventing any transgender people from enlisting in the military as all branches continue to struggle with recruitment.
The 78-year-old former president has nominated former Fox News host Pete Hegseth to lead the Department of Defense and has pledged to purge all government agencies of 'woke' policies.
In a podcast interview recently, Hegseth called the inclusion of transgender people in the service 'pushing boundaries.'
He suggested that you can't integrate trans people in as easily as people of different races were integrated 'because being transgendered in the military causes complications and differences.”
Hegseth also said that transgender people were 'not deployable' because they are 'reliant on chemicals.'
DailyMail.com has reached out to spokepersons for Trump for comment.

My dad (27 years Army, WWll, Korea, Vietnam) used to say “the military’s job is to break shit and kill people. The End”
I wondered that too. Flat feet, height and weight requirements, etc. because you need to be physically fit ti fight. Trans people are alone on daily hormones which require taking them (hard to do in combat) and need monitoring.
Yep. They have this dominant urge to virtue signal in very shallow ways. Without a deep understanding of what they are doing (and why it won’t work), they just damage and destroy.
Medically = mental illness
Maybe many of them can finally get the REAL treatment they need.
You would have to have actively recruited for that specific mental illness to get numbers like that. Just damn.
I seriously doubt that there’re 15,000 transgender mental cases in the military, but however many there are should get a medical discharge anyway.
The bonus should be that any flag or other officer who fails to carry out the president’s order should be court-martialled and stripped of his rank.
If there are 15,000 trans people in the US military, that’s a terrible thing. It means they are using it to get free medical treatment.
The Daily Mail, etc can hire them all and we’ll see how that goes.
These folks are not mentally stable they just don’t belong in the military.
First off, there is not 15,000 transgenders in the US Military. People throw out numbers that are ridiculous. This is done to try to sway the public and get crying support. 2nd they want you to believe every transgender person is mission critical and the army would fall apart without them. That’s nonsense. If that were remotely true, our army would be the weakest army in the world. Everyone is replaceable. Everyone. 3rdly, mental illness in the ranks makes our military weak. We can’t have troops that cannot function as soldiers first. This kind of behavior is not part of an effective military. It’s chaotic, and it breeds an undisciplined military. Once that happens, we are defeated.
Good.
Good.
Homosexuality is a mental illness.
this is a mental health issue for sure.
That’s what I thought ! 15,000?? Were they that way before they joined ? Or did they change after ??
“....preventing any transgender people from enlisting in the military as all branches continue to struggle with recruitment.”
Restore the military’s pride (not that “pride”) and there won’t be a recruitment struggle.
This is a step in the right direction.
Mental illness is dischargeable.
No idea where the 15,000 number came from, it’s apparently about 3,000. There are easily another 12,000 nondeployable servicemembers though, and if you can’t deploy, you should have some really good reason for sticking around.
Transgender NOT GAY.
Never understood how they managed to stick around as ‘non-deployable’. They wave goodbye as their unit goes to Afghanistan.
Does Medically Discharged mean they get a medical pension too?
