Nick Norwitz, a doctorate student at Harvard University, found that contrary to the beliefs of many experts, his cholesterol levels actually dropped. After the month-long experiment that saw him eat the equivalent of 24 eggs per day his low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels, or 'bad' cholesterol, fell by 18 percent.
Experts have demonized cholesterol in eggs for decades, warning that eating them may cause a surge in LDL levels and raise the risk of complications.
Dr Norwitz has a PhD in human brain metabolism from the University of Oxford and is completing his medical doctorate at Harvard University.

They say “trust the science” yet the “science” keeps changing. Perhaps there should be study on the cause and effect of grant money to “science” to see if the results are real, or just what the money man wants.
Meanwhile I will continue to ignore “the science”.
Correct. Eggs, butter, meat, lard… the most processed things they ate were bread, and apple pies.
The crap on the shelves of the middle aisles of stores is horrifying. Fast food is worse.
Cholesterol is a huge scam for big pharma and Drs that push the station BS. It has nothing to do with heart disease and stains do far more harm.
“I can eat 50 eggs” CoolHand Luke
My grandmother used to make donuts dried in lard. Best donuts ever.
>>>Our eggs are fresh out of the chicken house.<<<
Ours come out of a hen.......................
7 or 8 eggs at every single meal?
yikes
For a few years I spent time raising chickens. I had 50 at one point. Fresh eggs are absolutely different than store-bought. You FEEL healthier when you eat them.
My neighbor has farm fresh eggs delivered every other week, so I asked if I could buy some too. They are so good! I’m so happy she shared her egg info with me.
Cholesterol and heart disease are not closely related.
Heart disease is a chronic inflammatory condition affecting the arteries. The usual suspects are high blood pressure, insulin resistance/diabetes, smoking, and genetics.
Ancel Keys cooked up the link between cholesterol/fat and heart disease and he was a fraud that cherry picked data to make his case. The animal rights loons latched onto it and the medical establishment mostly ignores all research to the contrary.
Eggs are God’s gift to us as a perfect superfood.
So kind of like climate change.
I know the cholesterol crap is just that. My mom and aunt both had cholesterol levels in the low 300 range and lived to be 93 and 97 respectively. I drive my FP nuts every year when I have my blood work done. My cholesterol is always around 250-260 with the LDLs around 130, tris around 95 and HDLs in the 55 range. Every year he tries to put me on a Statin and every year I refuse. I suppose if I live to be 90 and die of a stroke, he’ll say see I told you so.
Dracula 🐔
This is true. But if you ask your doc for a particle size test as part of your blood work, they look at you like you were crazy.
And ratios also. My LDL level is very high. But my HDL is extremally low. The ratio of those puts me in a lower than average risk for heart disease.
Doc wanted to put me on a statin. When I explained this to him he appeared to be clueless about the ratios of the types of cholesterol.
