Synopsis: Russian state media talking heads claim that the Western Allies actually lost World War Two and that the war was won solely by Russia.
@user-fz6pg4mt9b 12 hours ago Delusional people making up their own history
@JohnNordic 12 hours ago The coping about Winter War of 1939 is very telling. Plus they have the nerve to claim they didn't start that war.
@AmericanTough 11 hours ago That’s funny considering they’d be speaking German if it wasn’t for the US sending raw materials and aid like we did.
@floydlooney6837 13 hours ago Russian propaganda is just comedy
@nostro1940 12 hours ago Russians pretending ww2 was the whole west vs Russia
@garyddlewis3067 6 hours ago They cannot defeat Ukraine after 810 days of war but apparently believe they can defeat Europe- not delusional then.
@Skibbam 11 hours ago In Russia to 'denazify' means to get rid of anyone that disagrees. Such an amazing people & culture, ugh!
@commissaryarrick9670 12 hours ago Both stalin and zhukov said without help from the USA the soviets would've lost the war .
@kev_sen 12 hours ago Perfectly normal way to spend Mother's Day in Russia 2024, uncontrollably angry at Finland for stuff that happened almost 100 years ago
@JohnNordic 12 hours ago "Fine, we will whack them first & then go to the Finns" As a Finn that is pretty tough talk from someone who will never risk his neck talking that talk to our faces
@Ed_Stuckey 13 hours ago 1:34 My property in Italy was seized At least there was a bit of good news in this show.
@scottyd3138 13 hours ago Ffs do they even try and make sense??
@coraliehoo9839 9 hours ago So, why not get out of Ukraine? You'll then be able to brag about a huge victory for Russia
@SLOWLYdoesit1 9 hours ago Russia invented the computer. Russia invented the plane. Russia built the Earth. Russia invented the Bond villain with 1970s suit and sunglasses… where my white cat?
Japan and Germany lost the war.
But I think the Nazis won. It wasn’t super obvious in, say, 1947 — but the progression from then to now is pretty blatant. We are in a fascist society. The political ideology of fascism has triumphed over both capitalism and communism. But since we carefully do not teach people what fascism looks like, most people don’t realize the nature of their own society.
We should have dropped nuke #3 on Moscow. Then nuke #4 on Leningrad. And then nuke #5 on Beijing for good measure once they became commit in 1948/49.
They’ve been saying that since 1945.
I have a good Russian friend (engineer who works for me; been in Texas for 30 years) who learned about DDay from Saving Private Ryan.
Never heard about island hopping in the Pacific. Thought we just nuked Japan and there was nothing between Pearl Harbor and Hiroshima except brave Chinese and North Koreans fighting Japan.
You certainly have a legit point.
Russians invented Coca-Cola, too.
Not sure there was much left of those cities to nuke.
Stalin would have disagreed with them.
At a dinner toast with Allied leaders during the Tehran Conference in December 1943, Stalin added: “The United States … is a country of machines. Without the use of those machines through Lend-Lease, we would lose this war.”
Nikita Khrushchev, who led the Soviet Union from 1953 to 1964, agreed with Stalin’s assessment. In his memoirs, Khrushchev described how Stalin stressed the value of Lend-Lease aid: “He stated bluntly that if the United States had not helped us, we would not have won the war.”
They were virtually identical.
We had a functionally fascist President of the United States for a decade before the war got started.
Russia bigly lost the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-1905.
Hush, Biden puffer
However there was a significant Russian victory that altered the course of the war.
The Battles of Khalkin Gol in 1939, where Japs went up against Zhukov, and got their butts kicked. From that point on, the Japs wanted nothing to do with the Soviet Union - a fact that Hitler might have liked to have known before he declared war on the US.
Scotch vas inwented by a little old lady from Leningrad ...
In the early 1930s, a lot of folks were convinced that Fascism, albeit without the snappy uniforms, was the way to go.
What act caused UK and France to declare war? The German invasion of Poland (as part of an agreement with USSR to divide Poland between them). What became of Poland after the war? The part the USSR took, it got to keep. The rest of Poland became a Soviet puppet state for the next half century as did nearly all of Eastern Europe that was liberated by the Red Army.
What nation increased its size after WWII?: the USSR.
Which nations lost their world-wide empires after WWII?: UK and France.
Of the Western allies, only the US emerged stronger after the war.
Hitler was not a fascist. Hitler was a National Socialist.
Mussolini was the fascist.
Granted, the only real difference was that the Italians weren’t into Hitler’s nasty racial theories ... and absent the racial nonsense, Fascism, National Socialism, and Communism differ only in a few details.
Also, why did the Soviets decide to ally with Hitler instead of Britain and France in 1939?
Because Britain and France wouldn’t allow the Soviets to have Poland, which was their condition for joining them.
It was personal with Stalin. Lenin blamed him for losing Poland in 1920.
Generalization was that Centralized Planning and Control would be more “efficient”.
Isms in my opinion are not good. A person shouldn’t believe in an ism. I quote John Lennon, “I don’t believe in Beatles, I just believe in me.” A good point there, after all he was The Walrus!
