A new study of metal ore deep inside the moon is offering fresh evidence that Earth's natural satellite was formed by an ancient planet crashing into Earth long ago.
This long-theorized interplanetary collision — which scientists believe occurred some 4.5 billion years ago — saw a Mars-sized planet named 'Theia' slice itself into hot lava fragments upon impact with the Earth.
While some of Theia's planetary remains appear to be buried as dense and massive 'blobs' deep underneath Africa and the Pacific Ocean's tectonic plates, scientists said evidence for where the rest of Theia went after this crash had remained elusive.
But now, new data from NASA's Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory (GRAIL) spacecraft has found large telltale deposits of titanium-iron ore deep beneath the moon's surface, suggesting Theia's other remains did, in fact, form Earth's moon.
Planetary geophysicist, Adrien Broquet of the German Aerospace Center in Berlin, described NASA's GRAIL findings as nothing short of 'mesmerizing.'
His team's new paper, published this April in Nature Geoscience, focused on 'gravity anomalies' deep under the moon's surface: dense, heavy pockets of matter identified by the GRAIL spacecraft's sensors.
'Analyzing these variations in the moon's gravity field allowed us to peek under the moon's surface and see what lies beneath,' Broquet said.

nice. definitely eclipsed my attempt at humor
your joke got a hearty belly laugh from me-

“Let’s not ignore that the ancient Egyptians and Babylonians similarly mentioned of this renegade planet which, according to them, devastates Earth every time it passes by.”
You must have missed this part. And the fact that it would not be a “literal” Sumerian to English translation, but a translation of metaphoric concepts.
That would be like expecting ancient accounts of “flying shields” interpretations to be a perfect direct English translation to “flying saucers”.
Quite obvious to understand the metaphor concept even though it is not a literal one to one translation.

If you have it, supply a link or literary reference - as far as I know, from my extensive reading about Egypt, there is no mention. As for the Babylonians, the only reference is from Stichin’s made up translations (sic).
Please go online and look for yourself at the relevant passages - its the translation reference that scholars use, not crackpot insurance salesmen.
Earth First !!! We’ll Strip Mine The Other Planets Later.
“its the translation reference that scholars use”
This purism and refusal to interpret metaphoric references is greatly retarding discovery.
Of course it would not be a literal word for word translation. It would be ignorant to even expect this from an ancient language and ancient topics.
Not even current languages can be directly translated word for word with perfect accuracy, too many variables such as unique words and English words they do not use in their language, let alone a single word that can have several different meanings depending on how it is used in the sentence structure with other words.
Theoretically, at the very center of the Earth’s molten core, lies all the heavy metals that sank when the Earth was till young and being bombarded by meteors, comets and asteroids.
Uranium, Lead, Gold, Silver, Platinum, Copper, Titanium, all that stuff is down there..............
What is the mass of all of the buildings, structures, vehicles, digital watches, and road surfaces, man has made on the earth so far?
“What is the mass of all of the buildings, structures, vehicles, digital watches, and road surfaces, man has made on the earth so far?”
They have not changed the mass of the earth. The materials were already part of the earth.
So you have no comprehension of how translations work, but steadfastly believe in your fervent belief that scholars are idiots compared to your brilliance.
Your mind may be open, but its filled with rubbish.
and yours to me.
best to you, or bits, as you like them...

“but steadfastly believe in your fervent belief that scholars are idiots compared to your brilliance.”
I made no claims I am brilliant. I claimed they are not if they operate with this protocol.
No ideology should be dismissed, you might be throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
These type of mental firewalls greatly hinder discovery. Concepts are blocked before they are even considered. This is 12 century mind and the earth is still flat.

Make up your very own ideas! A novel scholastic idea. You could start with the Piltdown Man and go from there.
It is not trivial because (1) the mass of the moon is trivial compared to the mass of the earth, yet (2) in spite of that the impact of the moon on many aspects of the earth is quite major. Before extracting ANYTHING from the moon and delivering it to the earth in massive amounts over many years, the scientists need to, and can. calculate how much can be extracted before the present earth-moon balance is changed.
There is another option they can do. The ships sent to retrieve material from the moon can not be sent to the moon empty, but carrying tonage that will be left on the moon equal in weight to what they will remove. THEN nothing will change.

She seems to be the same figure as Aethra, who is the consort of Hyperion and mother of his children in some accounts
Aethra - sounds curiously like Earth, with the same letters, just an extra ‘a.’
Looking at etymology of the word earth, no mention of Aethra. A ton of other stuff that doesn’t make sense, but no Aethra.
Always fun.
Juvenile, of course, which is what makes it fun.🥳
