There are - or used to be - five different tests, with fifty questions on each test.
You take, and must pass, just one of the five tests.
Citizen applicants are given ALL the questions, and ALL the answers, BEFORE they take the test!
Want to be a citizen?
Just memorize 250 questions and 250 answers.
Many of the questions appear on ALL five tests, so the total number of possible questions is actually less than 250.
Complete scam article by Jennifer Wood and the Daily Beast, and totally defective editing by Yahoo.com, which re-published this crap.
I promise not ONE of his viewers would get any correct
Kimmel couldn’t pass a citizenship test himself.
I would have called them commie termites.
That’s ok.....youtube has lots of videos with libs struggling to answer basic questions on the US.
Now Jimmy Kimmel is stealing Jay Leno’s bits? how embarrassing.
Expect much lying from the left in this election season. I know they lie at the drop of a hat as a matter of course but the intensity is ramping up.
Like Kimmel knows how many amendments there are.
Supreme law of the land? There is no such thing.
Again, ask his viewers and get crickets.
Isn’t he the 3rd rated late night drivel? Or 4th if you count Gutfeld.
Try it on some Venezuelan gangbangers, Jimmy.
Democrat supporters can’t even name the nation’s capitol, or who the president actually is.
Would love to know how many he asked before they got enough who couldn’t answer the questions correctly. Selective editing and all that.
This shows why Kimmel is a stupid RAT.
Born US Citizens are NOT required to take a citizenship test.
That test is only required for NATURALIZED US citizens such as me. Why would be natural born citizens would be expected to know anything about this test? I bet stupid Kimmel does not know what are the pre-requisites to qualify for US citizenship.
Jimmy Kimmel cherry picked a dozen people, out of probably a 1000 people for laughs.
There will always be gaps of knowledge. I’ve myself have asked questions about the Constitution here and there have been at times when nobody, who answered, was certain what the correct answer was.
My estimate is that the pct of low information voters among Democrats is about 95% or higher, and among Republicans it is 60% or higher.
The first question could be confusing, though, b/c in reality today, it is SCOTUS. Tragically.
It’s irrelevant that one can pass a test.
Illegal is still illegal and need to be deported.
I’ve got an idea: maybe Kimmel’s minions could give Biden’s Supreme Court justice Ketanji Brown Jackson a quick question or two about the reason for the First Amendment to our Constitution - seems to me that might be a bit more important.
Citizenship is, like inherited property, something bequeathed by your parents. Trivial Pursuit is completely orthogonal to the subject. If you told her that her children could only inherit contingent on their performance in a trivia contest against unrelated individuals, she’d likely go ballistic, and rightly so.
Ever since Kimmel used the Academy Awards stage to embarrass Trump in front of the world by reading the former president’s scathing review of Kimmel’s hosting skills,
They mean:
“ Ever since Trump used the Academy Awards stage to embarrass Kimmel in front of the world with an on stage scathing review of Kimmel’s hosting skills…”
The most recent test has 100 possible questions. The applicant is asked 10 questions randomly and must get six correct to pass. It’s pretty basic stuff about American history and government, although some of the questions are fairly challenging.
I sometimes teach a class that people take to prepare for their naturalization interview. I tell the students they would wind up knowing more about basic American history and government than a lot of native-born Americans know, sad to say.
How can young people that attend public schools pass a civics test?
The public schools haven’t taught civics, or math, or reading in years; decades.
They take a multiple answer test
Back when i became an American citizen we werent given the answers or dummy tests
We were given an oral test and no possible answers
You either knew the answer or you didnt
I got 19 of 20 questions right and thought I had failed...
That meant we had to study and learn everything about the civics and history of America
and know the names of all our politicians the POTUS our senators, congressman, state and local officials etc
Nothing was handed to us...
