The most recent test has 100 possible questions. The applicant is asked 10 questions randomly and must get six correct to pass. It’s pretty basic stuff about American history and government, although some of the questions are fairly challenging.
I sometimes teach a class that people take to prepare for their naturalization interview. I tell the students they would wind up knowing more about basic American history and government than a lot of native-born Americans know, sad to say.
Do they still get all 100 questions and answers BEFORE the test?
