The findings were presented Monday at an American Heart Association meeting in Chicago and focused on a popular version of intermittent fasting that involves eating all your meals in just eight hours or less...commonly known as "time-restricted" eating...People who adhered to the eight-hour eating plan had a 91 percent higher risk of dying from heart disease compared to people...who eat their food across 12 to 16 hours each day.

I only eat from Friday afternoon through Sunday night. I fast Sunday night through Friday afternoon.I've taken it to the next level.
I only eat on odd-numbered years.
2024 has been ROUGH.

My mother fasted 24 hours one day every month. Only drank water. She lived to 103. Never smoked or drank booze. Ate meat only 1 meal during week. I can’t ever remember her being sick with anything.

Victor Wenze Zhong, the lead author and the chair of the department of epidemiology and biostatistics at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in China. Everything out of China is a either a lie or poison. Things from China kill.
This is not an opinion, it is a fact.
So take this study with a king sized chunk of salt.

The American heart association has been compromised since they hired Ansel Keys. I wouldn’t trust them if they told me the sun was going to rise in the east.
They share a lot of the blame for the increase in heart disease the last few decades.

You are going to have to do better than that to beat the world record for fasting, slacker.

Same here. The liquid is best, as the powder form has another artificial sweetener

It is helping me and has helped me before.
I don’t eat anything after 5 pm and usually have breakfast about 7:00 am. The first noticeable result is a drop in my blood sugars from 140-160 to 95-120.
I am also doing 30 minutes on the treadmill and later in the day 15 minutes.

I keep my diet to about 70% fat and if I need to just skip a day or eating it’s no big deal, my labs results would be good for a man half my age
Eating all day long is unnatural except maybe in the sense of foraging berries or something while moving

Fluoride occurs naturally in the water of many areas in the USA.
That's how dentists first realized that fluoride repairs and strengthens tooth enamel.

Maybe the people on the eight hour window stuff themselves with way too many calories at one time, to avoid hunger during the 16 hour fast?
It doesn't work that way. You body adjusts to a fasting routine so that there really is no hunger while you fast.

Many thanks to the
Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in China.
But I think I’ll stick to my fasting routine.
To: zeestephen
Yeah. It seems that the binge phase would overwhelm the heart during digestion. But I’m not a doctor, so I don’t know.
