A Las Vegas judge was pounced on and attacked by a criminal during a hearing after she denied him bail.
Judge Mary Kay Holthus from the Clark County District Court was mid-sentencing when convicted criminal Delone Redden launched at her on Wednesday morning.
Video footage shows the wild moment Redden leaped out from where he was standing and hopped into the judge's bench to tackle her.
As he throws himself at the shocked judge, Redden is heard saying 'nah f*** that b*tch.'
The marshal along with the judge attempt to dodge the attack, but Redden threw himself on top of both of them and began to brutally beat-up Holthus.
In the footage he can be heard repeatedly punching Holthus and screaming at her using explicit language, meanwhile security officers attempted to restrain the crazed criminal.
The female judge can be heard pleading with the criminal and begging him to get off her.
Redden was ironically being sentenced for aggravated battery with substantial bodily harm just before he launched his attack.
Judge Holthus experienced injuries as a result of the assault and her condition is being monitored.
The marshal was also inured and had to be transported to hospital following the brutal attack.

Gotta give maximum credit to the judge’s clerk (the guy on the right of the judge, in the suit). He didn’t flinch or retreat, but immediately went on the attack and started to strike the perp.
The clerk could use a lesson or two on effective striking, though.
One of these days we’ll learn to quit coddling these feral animals. Should’ve been cause to order and carry out his execution right then and there in front of the judge’s bench.

The poor guy was probably upset that they sentenced him at all, let alone denied bail. What’s the system coming to?

Says he’s 30 now. I’m surprised someone like that has lived that long. I would’ve thought 25 to be his maximum and I wouldn’t give him very high odds of making 40.
Sounds like she was about to send him to state prison. Sentencing will have to be assigned to a different judge. With the new felony battery charges I dare say he’ll be away for a while. Whatever the max is on the new charges is, I think that’s what he can reasonably expect.
Delone Redden has initiated legislation for the Redden procecedure in Vegas courtrooms. Mandatory Orange coveralls, handcuffs with leggings and orange slippers. No ifs, and, or buts. Any disagreement by criminal offenders can be filed with Redden personally out in the yard.
I wonder what additional charges will be filed and how stiff the sentencing will be.
