Daughter #2, while she wants to learn to handle a handgun safely, said yesterday, "I do think it should be harder for people to buy guns." I didn't pound on 2A because that's not what works with her. Any suggestions on sources for her to get comfortable with "shall not be infringed"?
I taught them gun safety...because they wanted it and I wanted them to know it.
Neither of them own a gun.....
I wish they did.
Show her, in detail, what happened in Israel on 10/7.
They were outnumbered, outgunned, and surrounded.
I would remind her that Israel made it harder for citizens to buy guns. And look at how Hamas took advantage of that.
However - - if she is already dwelling on the notion is should be harder to buy guns, then she probably thinks Hamas is right and that Israel got what they deserved.
ROTFLOL
Yep. That was my “One Word Answer”: Hamas.
Of course, if you said that, she would say “Why? We don’t have Hamas in this country!”
You would only be able to shake your head and say: “Come over here and sit down. We need to talk.”
Most, if not all, people who “buy” guns (meaning legally purchase them) do not go on and break the law with them. The ones who do most of the crimes with guns are not following the law anyway - the MSM fails to draw this distinction adequately enough today so it is no wonder people think that guns are easy to get.
Also tell her 2nd amendment unconstitutional infringement does the opposite of what the left tells us: It gets people killed.
Take the case of Ryan Carson last month. Waiting for a bus in Brooklyn NYC when a feral named Brian Dowling started threatening Ryan for absolutely no reason.
Ryan had no means of self defense only to push the feral Dowling away with his hand. Needless to say Dowling stabbed Ryan to death.
It's a hell of a thing knowing someone is trying to kill you and there is nothing you can do about it. You only get one chance to save your life, and NOT being armed can end up being the biggest mistake of your life.
If Ryan or his girlfriend were armed he would be alive instead he's dead because he was told over and over guns are bad, self defense is not necessary, the state will protect him. Once again the state failed as it always does
Just look at the pro hamas protests and contemplate the 10 million illegals who crossed the border.
but I cant be the only one here who was thinking....
Is that some kind of lip stud she was sporting?
Then ask her exactly what they should do.
And also remind her there is a Constitution and EVERYONE has the right to protect themselves, family and home.
And again...guns don't kill....people do.
I believe that was a body piercing stud............
“It should be harder for people to buy guns” than for animals. Of course animals are always notoriously short of money.
Compare the number of mass shootings in schools and other “gun free zones” with the number of mass shootings in guns stores and gun ranges.
Why is it that criminals, terrorists and psychos choose gun free zones for mass shootings? Could it be that they would prefer that their victims be unable to shoot back?
Ask her if people should have to register as correspondents before posting a BLOG or VLOG.
That’s essentially what the anti-2nd amendment folks want to do with gun ownership - you have to register with the government to get a gun. Only in my example, you have to register to be a reporter/correspondent to exercise your 1st amendment right.
Yep. An upper lip stud.
There are folks who indeed want that.
