I was a bit skeptical too, but the trusty Internet search on DeSantis & Gitmo shows it to be true.
My view of that whole situation is that ObL & company had nothing to do with the main events of 911.
Based on the scale and complexity, it could only have been an intel-agency operation according to George Freidman, founder of the private intel agency, Stratfor.
ObL's supposed confession was an Egyptian actor.
Anyone who could undertake such an op, and pull it off, knows to sprinkle possible suspects around the scene, and then land on a patsy.
Gitmo was used to waterboard confessions out of the designated patsies--the icing on the cake.

Then I saw it was another one this time.
There seems to be no shortage, when they can be created if you poke people enough. This one, for example, seemed to be doing more or less ok, until he started getting “folded”.
Having been “folded” and “melianed” myself on occasion, I sorta get it.
Absolutely amazing. Love how the bird’s head goes from ordinary dark coloration to iridescent magenta with just a half-turn.
The mystery to me is — how in the name of creation does a hummingbird sit calmly on the hand of a human for an extended period??? :-)
