The Dems win because they stick together and vote for the Dem. Even if the Dem is incapable of handling the job, the Dems rally behind him and vote for him.
Meanwhile, too many Republicans stay home if the candidate isn’t perfect.
I was never a big fan of any Republican candidate, but I vote GOP in every election because the alternative is worse.

Perhaps, but taking "grossly reckless" action contrary to the nation's "expert" medical teams would have swiftly resulted in impeachment and conviction.
Sadly, I tend to agree. Nothing has been done to secure elections in swing states that Trump lost in 2020, as we saw in 2022. And nothing is being done to secure them now, either.
Plus the party is too divided by those who will only vote for Trump, no matter what, many even saying they’ll never vote Republican again after this election. That core group is not enough to overcome all the forces that are aligned to take Trump out, that are of all types of political persuasions, not only in the middle but including the hard conservative right.
And we know from Biden and Fetterman the D voters don’t care if the candidate even has a pulse, they’ll pull every dirty trick they can, probably even more this time because no one has ever called them on it.
You should send this to Trump because he’s the only person who can perhaps counter this. If he has to cheat like the Democrats – then I hope he does so. Dropping ballots in boxes in the middle of the night can be done by Republicans too. Forging ballots, mail ins and strong arming can be done too. Whatever the Democrats do, so can Trump and his followers. They should be planing now if they seriously want to win. All this belief that a majority will turn out because times are so bad is a losing strategy. The Dems will cheat and Trump has to be ready for anything... last time he seemed paralyzed by the situation, this time strong coordinated, action is needed. He has to be ready to move and do the unconventional if need be. I hope he is ready because why bother if, as you say, you don’t have a hope in Hell.
The key is to get a fraud-proof margin.
The key to that in turn is for voters to blame problems in their own lives on our left-leaning administration.
Another key for me is that Trump talks about issues rather than people he doesn’t like.
Republicans are clueless. They are complicit.
During my dark times, I feel the same as you.
There is a gigantic machine that is dedicated to winning and retaining power at all costs. This will be very difficult to overcome.
I never said Trump wouldn’t win. What I said was we need another Reagan.
Now, Trump is part Reagan and part Patton.
The suburban soccer moms don’t appreciate the Patton part. They’re in error, but it is what it is. If Trump can emphasize his Reagan side more, he could be the next Reagan. And he could win.
We are on track for losing in a landslide. In 2024, a few months before the election, the WHO chief will visit Biden in the WH and announce from the Rose Garden that the pandemic is over. There will be a euphoric reaction, huge bump in ratings for Biden, polls will show him crushing the GOP, and November will see a 350 EV Democratic trouncing of the GOP candidate. Biden’s coattails will also win the Dems control of the Senate.
Trump won’t win (couldn’t get the popular vote and barely got the EC the first time and is getting old) nor will DeSantis barring the collapse of our country. Americans are fat and happy and our women love their abortions (and vote for who promotes the most permissive views).
This may be true, but DeSantis has a much better chance than Trump of making it not true.
This is why I probably won’t waste my time voting next time. What’s the point. I’ve written my congressmen and senators. Also a waste of time apparently.

It’s still half time. Most will be begging for their state to secede once the ecnomic crash happens.
