We need a constitutional convention. The states need to dissolve the federal govt and replace it. The country WILL survive without a fed govt for a short while if the dissolution is done intelligently. We also need to move the nation’s capital; probably the easiest and quickest way to drain the swamp.

Let’s say Alabama legislature decides to secede because the economy has failed and they want to go it alone.

They do not have enough arms or forces to withstand a Federal invasion and takeover like in 1865.

But if say China, Russia or the EU or all together, say we recognize Alabama’s right to sovereignty and will not allow them to be destroyed by the remaining US Federal forces, Then you have a whole different situation.

If they are willing to support Alabama as a new nation, and they probably would just to split the USA and encourage other states to do the same, then the secession would stand..................
