My belief is, if all that’s true, in some way everything in the universe is as it is to support life on this one planet. Perhaps in ways we don’t understand galaxies light years away do play a role in that.

“ If they are Dyson Spheres, watch out!.................”

Marie Kondo will take care of them!
Although I hear she has severely become a backslider .
Probably is now a cat lady hoarder.

Alas, now we will find the technology that allows the aliens to send a low technology hot air balloon, across the light years of the universe...and then go undetected.

Oh, yeah.

Well, I guess a Dyson sphere is just a lot of rings after all.

Whatever ET wants, the answer is ‘No’.

Yea they will have to get in line with the rest of the immigrants if they want to migrate or visit.

We can no longer afford to be the dumping ground for the galaxies alien trash. We can make exceptions only if they possess a trade or skill not available on earth or if they are smoking hot space babes.

Only when not in public. His eyelids open/close like Alligator eyes have two sets of eyelids. The outer lids are like human eyelids. They are made of skin and close top-to-bottom. The inner lids are clear and close back-to-front. While an alligator is sitting about or swimming, these inner eyelids protect the alligator's eyes and provide clearer vision in the underwater environment.

Agreed. Every time we place ourselves at the center of the world, the Solar System, the universe, life, whatever, we eventually get dethroned.

Pompous little species, aren't we.

There is absolutely no reason to assume that an interstellar civilization wouldn’t still want slaves. This assumption that such a civilization must be benevolent is a mere assertion. Are modern Earth nations with all their gadgets benevolent? Hardly. Best to keep quiet.

What’s interesting is that they also found 6 more stars, G and F class, that were classified as “fast” dippers in the same region.

It does make you ponder a few things.

So - a Kardashev Class II.

At least on their way to there. If the stars start winking out completely it will be official.

It occurs to me that if a civilization is undertaking the modification of solar systems, they have to know they are advertising their presence and their level of advancement to the entire galaxy.

They must be bad-ass, or at least think they are.

There is absolutely no reason to assume that an interstellar civilization wouldn’t still want slaves.

We'll make great pets.

Quite possibly an interstellar civilization might not even be aware of us - any more than we might be aware of ant colonies in a distant field.

As long as the field is not on the route for construction of a new interstellar highway, we will be just fine.

The universe is too vast to not believe that there is additional life forms out there somewhere on some planet.

The question I have is, if the universe is expanding, what is beyond the furthest edge and is there a limit to how wide the universe can expand. In other words, is there a wall beyond which nothing can pass?

Unfortunately, that's likely a question that will never be answered......
