Using "Stone" brand vodka?

Experienced a kidney stone 25 years ago. Doctor at that time went in invasively to get it and remove
Three nights ago, I was struck with another kidney stone attack. Lasted about 2 hours in the middle of the night.
24 hours later. Another one. Could feel the pain and the stone moving farther south.
Another one early this morning, still painful but I believe stone is making progress.
Refuse to go to any clinic or hospital, what do my wise freeper friends suggest to speed up the process and alleviate the pain.
No vicodin. Addictive. Had a simbling that died too young in his sleep taking that pain med. Tragic.
ACV on tomatoes or cucumbers is actually pretty tasty.
Or cranberry juice concentrate and vodka.

I once passed a gallstone by strenuous exertion...climbing a stepladder with buckets of concrete. It was agony at the time, but it moved a stone that had bothered me periodically for years. Boy, did it feel good when that sucker cleared the bile duct.
Yep. Go see Doc. This was drilled into my head while in the military. You have a minor prob, go see Doc and get it fixed before it becomes a major problem. Had an op scrubbed once because a guy who had a tooth ache didn’t go see Doc. While we were out, he developed an ulceration and a fever. Dude was in pain and pretty much down for the count. We wound up going home, he wound up in the hospital and with a counseling sheet in his record.
My urologist gave me three options. First was to do the ultrasound again, go through my back or go through the front which meant 6” scar. The back was a 1” incision.
We talked about my diet and I told him I drank 3-4 Diet Cokes everyday & he said if I didn’t want anymore, to stop drinking them. Haven’t had a Coke since & I go in every 6 months for x-rays and check up. So far so good.
Don’t fool around with home remedies…go to an ER or at least a clinic. Passing a kidney stone is not only very painful but may have serious complications. We
Haven’t seen any responses (in the first 50) that mentioned utilizing a hot tub. A friend of mine says he has used a hot tub with a jets aimed at the painful areas to break them up. Try that if you are not spending the time going to the hospital!!!

When I had one it was the first and only time I ever took a pain killer, let alone morphine.
It was like the alien in my body that had to be expelled but would not go.
I’m pretty pain tolerant but that was all I could bear and it passed in hours, not days.
You may NEED vodka to get the bitter cranberry juice down.
I have used aspirin to help with kidney stone pain.
After the last boulder about 12 years ago, I started drinking 2 large glasses of lemon-aid per week. I have not had a recurrence.
If you go to the ER, you’ll pay a fortune and call they’ll give you is pain meds. Been there and done that.
Some of us do...twice. Lay off.
I would not give medical advice on the basis of one study and no known medical history but if you wish to be my guest. The simple fact is kidney stones can impair renal function and with impaired renal function. no dose of nsaid is safe. Until the patient is assessed and renal function determined it is best to hold off. That is why untrained people should not give medical advice on the internet but go for it if you wish
1 TABLESPOON ACV to 8oz glass water or a bit more ACV for ailments needing curing. It's MORE palatable cold if you add an ice cube or two. Don't drink it non-diluted because it has the potential to mildly burn your mouth, throat or esophagus.
ADDING 1 TEASPOON OF HONEY is a huge bonus for daily maintenance.
I ONLY know what my wife has told me because this is not really my 'thing' but she's sold me on ACV's curing abilities because I've witnessed how it's helped her a LOT.
Pacing the floor was all I could do. There was no way I could sit still. We had a loop from dining room, entry hall, living room then kitchen. No telling how many laps I made. The only time I stopped pacing was to dry heave before going to the ER for morphine.
It was an icy morning before sunup and we took my truck, a manual fwd dodge that my wife hates to drive and it was all I could do to focus long enough to lock the front hubs in. I was just not nice at all but there was no way I could drive. It was 14 miles to town and I had to stop and get out twice. I cried, cussed and paced until the morphine hit. It was blessed.
If the stone is small enough to pass and there is no compromise in renal function pain meds and waiting is appropriate. If the stone is large enough to be causing renal impairment and back pressure on the kidney stent placement or even percutaneous drainage of the kidney may be necessary to preserve renal function. And infection needs to be ruled out. The only way to know the appropriate course of action is to image the stone by ultrasound or CT and to do basic labs to check renal function. That has to be done in a medical setting. Your advice is asking someone to risk their kidney function.
