I admit that this irritates me. I am just tired of that kind of BS, arguing and being contentious with people I generally should be agreeing with on most things.
I am always trying to learn more about what is going on over in Ukraine so I can make sense of it, and I expected I would depend on FR to help me read between the lines from a wider spectrum of opinion, because the propaganda is coming heavy and swift from both of these former Soviet elements who are completely versed in it, even after all these years. And I sure as hell won’t pay any attention to the Western media or their governments.
So I occasionally enter the threads, and it never takes long before people pollute the discussion to the point it serves no purpose. You can take bets on when the first “Ukrainian Propaganda Monkey” or “Putinista” reference will appear on the thread.
I just don’t venture into them often. I guess this counts as one...
I’m guilty of it. Now all you warmongers and supporters of the military industrial complex you can stop wasting my tax dollars and go to Ukraine and fight yourself. We have zero national interest there.

But since a lot of those posters are probably working in some cubicle in Russia with a boss dumber than Dilbert's it really is funny.
Putin is a Communist. But Russia is also strong and will outlast this thing, which the Ukraune cheerleaders won’t admit. Ukraine only wins if there is vigorous and direct Western military intervention.

Don’t get worked up about it. In 2 years (max) President Trump will be in the White House again, and this whole Ukraine thing will be resolved very nicely.
LOL. I make it a point to never participate in any of the Ukraine war threads for this very reason. Whatever side you're on (or even if you don't take sides), sooner or later you'll get painted as Hitler. :)

The thread didn't get a lot of hits. But I had a dim factual perception of what the SPR was, its scale, etc. But now, I know more about it thanks to a Freeper who posted it.
Yeah. We have a lot of boneheads here. We have hot heads, racists, sexists, whatever "ist" you can think of.
And occasionally, each of us picks up one of those lousy roles now and again.
But in real life, you run into those people too. That's life. I try to avoid playing any of those roles, but I can be any one of those people, I just try not to be, instead of the ones who seem to seek it out.

We won’t drop out of NATO now that the Russia Ukraine War is going on.
I would’ve “cut bait” on NATO in the 1990’s, we’re just subsidizing European deadbeats from paying for their own defense budgets.
I’ve always said it’s like watching people arguing over who is more worst the ‘Crips’ or the ‘Bloods’

And if the number of daily threads on this subject could be significantly reduced, I know a lot of FReepers would be relieved.
