At 5:07 pm, officers in the 1600 block of Victor located a deceased party. The identity of this person and the cause of death is unconfirmed at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

If the family throwing its weight around gets a murderous perp off the street, the community at large is safer.

The man charged in the kidnapping of #ElizaFletcher pled guilty to the same crime in 2001. He was sentenced to 24 years in jail. So why was he prowling our streets? Those responsible for letting this man out of prison should be facing charges, too. #Memphis

Yes, I forgot about Jackson. Also, I read recently that Baton Rouge now has a crime rate exceeding New Orleans. Not good because my granddaughter is at LSU.

No doubt SOME of them do, but it’s unlikely to be true of ALL of them. Not impossible, just unlikely. If ANY of them care about the Constitution or this gross injustice, why haven’t they said anything? My guess is cowardice.

I understood Hurricane Katrina forced many of the criminal element to leave “na lans” —-even the language is being bastardized—-for other welfare rich targets like Houston etc.
Then again my daughter and family went to New Orleans and said it was very bad still.

The DA Steven Mulroy was just elected on a “restorative justice” and “bail reform” platform. In other words extremely liberal. But that’s what the voters wanted.
The Justice, Judge Montesi, went to my high school. He has more sense about crime fortunately.

A bad new habit of mine is to peek at Drudge and CNN to see how coverage looks. I'm making a resolution to stop it.
Drudge should have made huge headline stories with links. His group put bad legal news Trump stories and slanders on top left. CNN yesterday left out suspect photo, his race and at first his name after others had reported these earlier. And sank the story I think 7 stories down in a list under "crime." Journalistic malpractice as always.

Yeah. Once they found the body it becomes a different situation.
He was given the bail option for the accusation of kidnapping but he did not have the money.
Memphis is a direct result of Ford family empowerment.
