The most convincing account yet of how - and why - the Mob killed JFK: New film by relative of Mafia boss sheds fresh light on the President's assassination nearly 60 years on

Mafia boss Sam Giancana controlled a criminal empire stretching across the US

His great nephew Nicholas Celozzi reveals all in his new film, titled 2 Days/1963 The JFK operation included two assassins Johnny Roselli and Charles Nicoletti

As the most notorious boss of the Chicago Mafia since Al Capone, Sam Giancana controlled a criminal empire stretching across America.

He had an army of thugs to call on — but for two days in November 1963, he asked for help from his little brother, Pepe.

He was only a humble, illegal bookie in the Giancana empire, but Sam needed someone to chauffeur him around while the mobsters who usually did so were out of town.

As Pepe later confided to family, those men had gone to Dallas to do a job for Giancana — one that would become a seminal moment of the 20th century.

From conversations overheard at his brother’s mansion in Oak Park outside Chicago, Pepe worked out that their task was to help Lee Harvey Oswald assassinate John F Kennedy, then ensure that Oswald did not live to talk.

Since then, millions of words have been written about the killing of JFK: claims that the Mafia wanted revenge for his war on organised crime have vied with counter-theories that the president was killed by the CIA, the Pentagon, Fidel Castro, the Soviets and even Vice President Lyndon Johnson.

I remember reading about J.D. Tippet, and Oswald getting arrested on suspicion of his murder, but I didn’t know about the DPD angle.
I remember Rolling Stone doing a big write-up about the possibility of multiple shooters, they even showed a picture that they claimed was the shooter on the grassy knoll as seen thru some trees.
I wonder if we’ll ever know what really happened. I’m interested in seeing this new film when it comes out.
The Rolling Stone article was from the ‘70s I think.

Once you mentioned Stone’s “JFK” you lost the argument.

Zapruder’s film did not capture the fence area during the assassination itself since his filming was focused on Kennedy and not the grassy knoll or fence area. The fact he shows the fence after Kennedy’s car was going through the underpass is pretty much irrelevant since any shooter would have been long gone.

None of the films including the Zapruder film prove or disprove a shooter standing behind the fence. There is little evidence one way or the other. We may never know the details of what went down.

We lived in Texas during that time and went through it months after the assassination.

Occam’s razor has been used for centuries—by intellectuals cutting their own throats.

Bear in mind that prior to going to the Dallas police station, Ruby went to a Western Union office to wire money to a dancer who worked in one of his clubs. If Ruby was in on a conspiracy and was sent to kill Oswald, his window of opportunity was very narrow. Why would he risk screwing up the delicate timing of it by taking a chance on getting tied up at the Western Union office just before that?

Highly, highly unlikely.

One "tell" that LHO was part of a larger conspiracy are his actions following the assination. IF he acted all in his own, he would have had some sort of plan but his actions are one of somebody that was expecting and depending on help to get away from the scene of the crime.

If you read the account in the story it is completely plausible. His "ride" arrived right on schedule but since his shot missed and someone else took out JFK, he knew he was being set up and if he got in the car he would be killed. He then ran around like someone without a plan, because he didn't have a plan for how things turned out.

Of course, he still ended up dead at the hands of the Mob.

There is a very simple reason why every President does not want to release the full JFK assassination files.

They are truly national security—because they reveal the operational methods of the CIA and other intelligence agencies who were involved in the assassination.

Those methods (imho) are still in use today—both in foreign and domestic operations.

They include the utilization of mass media by intelligence agencies, the use of “doubles” to create patsies, the creation of cover stories of various kinds, forgery, witness tampering etc etc etc etc.

“I don’t know who killed JFK and never will Know, I was 20 when this happened.”

I like the humility which is rare at this site. Lots of books written about people and organizations that had the motive and opportunity to kill JFK but many are light on hard facts. I’ve studied this topic all my life and it is a humbling topic.

Whatever conspiracy there was was likely small, tight and less complicated that many think for this to continue to remain a mystery.

My Father’s theory was that Oswald was told that Tippet would be his ride out. Tippet was to kill Oswald and be the hero , unfortunately for him, he got outdrawn. Oswald then had no way out and went to the movies.

Here is an interesting conspiracy that managed to remain secret for more than five decades:

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/confirmed-the-us-census-b/

There were never any whistleblowers even though hundreds of people were probably aware of it.

What this has in common with the Kennedy assassination is both groups of people believed (rightly or wrongly) that they were patriots acting in the national interest.

"Just release all the jfk assassination files."

They have been. What hasn't been released is a tiny portion of the total set of files tagged as "assassination related".

The files that got this tag don't necessarily say anything about the assassination at all, but are simply documents about people that are mentioned in some of the voluminous investigations. There's nothing in the remaining tiny amount of files that is going to change what we know about the crime.

That is utter nonsense. If Oswald had been part of a conspiracy he would have contacted his confederates and gotten help escaping, like James Earl Ray apparently did.

I have already wasted enough of my valuable time on this non-conspiracy. If you want to discuss real conspiracies, like the mysterious deaths of Ron Brown or Vincent Foster, or the TWA flight 800 coverup, I am up for it. The JFK assassination was solved by the Warren commission.

Agreed, Sheeple are the worst. I read every book I could on JFK. It was a day I spent at Dealy Plaza that convinced me that Oswald was what he said dozens of times “I’m a Patsy!” Marine Trained Shooter would Not take the shot of a Target leaving the Kill zone But as it was Entering!!!
A mediocre shooter could have put a round in All passengers in That Limo.

There's a lot about the Tippit murder that doesn't add up. Conveniently, Oswald's wallet (one of them anyways) was conveniently dropped at Tippit's murder scene..and included documentation with the alias (Alex Hidell) that could neatly be tied to the Carcano found in the school book depository.

A longer video (1:15:00) with some speculation, but also a lot of interesting documentation:

It wouldn’t be at all surprising if somebody thinking about killing a president had a moment or two of hesitation before going through with it.

Very different situations. Government did all kinds of things during WWII using its war powers. If you were told by somebody in authority that the usual procedures had to be ignored because of the national emergency, you did it, and in those days you probably didn’t brood over whether it was right or wrong. Killing a president is something else all together.
