Meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom,' NASA says
The “bright fireball” was traveling at 35,000 mph when it exploded at 8:03 a.m. with the “energy equivalent of 3 tons of TNT,” according to NASA Meteor Watch, the agency's project that tracks fireball activity.
“Existing law states that any meteorites belong to the owner of the property on which they fell; out of respect for the privacy of those in the area, we will not disclose the locations of these finds,”
And finding anything of value is likely harder than you think.
“The pieces from this object were way too small to leave a crater. Unlike what you see in the movies, meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom’ that blast holes in the ground. In fact, you can pick one up right after it hits ground. So no smoking rocks in small craters.”

Shannon could have lost some fur without its showing. Her underneath is very plushy.
I think the black-and-white cat wants to live here.

Thanks! He finally commented on the birthday greetings, but two hours ago would have been 1800 European time. At least I know he’s alive and well!

I forgot to ask: Did Mrs ArGee have a restful weekend?

The underneath is usually where the damage is done, so hopefully there was enough plush to prevent any injury.

Mrs. ArGee doesn't relax by resting.

I didn’t mean, like resting in bed. I meant like, “a change is as good as a rest” restful.

Well, in that respect, instead of being upset with her parents she got upset with me.
Does that count?

I’m so sorry. She must be under enormous stress from all that. And I sincerely wish there were something I could do to help you both.

Don’t stress too much. Some of it’s the Russian in both her and her father. They’re happiest when they’re unhappy about something.
Or, at least, so it seems.

I’ll just keep you all in my prayers. It’s the best I can do.
And I understand about the Russian part. FS’s dad was part Russian.

Today’s outing was more successful than usual:

WOO-HOO!
Awakened in the wee hours to cats screaming at each other in the yard. Laying there, listening to them arguing when — of a sudden — there was a rushing noise and several seconds of shaking; like God saying “Hey! You cats knock it off!”
They did.
