The aqueducts were awesome manifestations of the Roman knack for practical engineering on a monumental scale. This video explores how they were constructed and used.
I'd like to thank Woosh Pipe and Drain of New York City for sponsoring this video. How did Roman Aqueducts work? | March 18, 2022 | toldinstone

I think the tunics and togas mitigated against the use of water slides.

Most ancient people could have used a good scrubbin’, at least.

Ok, but apart from the water slides, what have the Romans ever done for us?

Why follow up with a question already answered?

Oh. I’ll settle for just the watersides.

I'm sure H.E. Pennypacker will get around to it.

Sounds like something from The Far Side. I remember one cartoon depicting two sentries standing atop The Great Wall of China. One was telling the other, "This should keep that dog out."
I don't know if this is something I saw, or something I made up, but I had an idea for a cartoon depicting Noah's Ark with a long row of different kinds of dinosaurs waiting to get on board, and Noah telling them, "Sorry, we're full."

Follow up question: If not, why not? Because the corn-dog and 32 oz cola to sell to the water-slide customers had not yet been invented

I'll buy it.
In Florida during the summer, it rains every day. Sometimes really hard. Large puddles form in the strip mall's parking lot.
All you need is a Jeep, rope, piece of round plywood and your underwear.
I'm sure some kid found the aqueducts fun on a hot Italian summer day. (Just don't pee in the pool)

The Romans built bath houses just about every where that they went. Heck, half of the towns in Germany are referred to as ‘Baths’ or ‘Bad Something.’ Well, maybe not quite half, but they have a lot of them.

And of course, they loved to jump chariots through rings of fire right after one of those “slides for life”.
