Why over the last 20 yrs plus will the search is still not working???? I select KEYWORD and it still keeps the TITLE in the search. I delete it and nothing is found.....

They had a running activity log here? We have one on ours and it is great. The only problem is users take advantage of it to stalk others across threads. Probably what happened here.

Thanks All for the serious help and for the funny, sarcastic somewhat mean ones....enjoyed them all except for Tom Servo who I used to like. Even have his shirt.

Just a side comment here:

Starting any search of google with site:freerepublic.com instantly identifies you as one of the BAD PEOPLE to google's AI.

There might be a quicker way to get on the Neo-Khimer Rouge list, or the wipe out the non-communist population of Huế list (It only took the Vietcong one single night to round up everyone who didn't like them, march them into the jungle, and shoot every last one.)

I do have Win7 on my Mac, but I only use it for an expensive CAD program that only runs on windoze.

Tell me please, how many times a day do you post "Search still works"?

Are there really that many stupid people on FR?

Or could it maybe, just maybe be a systemic issue with the code under some sets of circumstances?

If you enter just a single word and hit return, it will default to keyword search.

If you enter several words separated by spaces, it will default to title search.

BTW, when I do a title search before posting, if nothing shows up, I then select ‘match any word’ and ‘order by relevance’ and any prior postings usually show up pretty close to the top. Even if the original poster added, changed or omitted some of the words.
